My 100 is lined up to go to a new home and already has a brand new Booster. I feel very bittersweet about it.
I need to do the shocks on my old girl too. No record of having them done and I’m pretty sure they’re original. Driver side shock has leaked oil out. They have 270k on them. They’re tired haha. I need to reindex the torsion bars and probably throw in some new springs for good measure.You can get the rebuild kit, seals, piston etc for $150ish from japan. I think there's a source on ebay for the motor rebuild kit. All in might be $3-400 to DIY rebuild. If the motor isn't too worn can just re-do the seals. I'd just buy a new unit over a rebuilt for $650 but that's just me.
Past week I swapped out the front and rear bushings on the sway bars, new rear shocks. All Toyota parts. Can't believe the original shocks 'lasted' 220k miles. While they weren't blown out, they took about 2.5 times as long to extend from full compression compared to the new shocks.
Truck rides so nice now. Will swap in the new front shocks in the next couple days. Was originally going to sell the 2007 cruiser when I wrap up my 'restoration' on the 2006 but my wife came home from driving it the other day and now wants to sell her Subaru. She has named old man tan 'goldilocks'. My boys call it 'Mater' (think Pixar 'Cars' movie). Makes me laugh every time.
Also took my boys fossil/shark tooth hunting. Just rolled 223k.

Highly recommend. I'm blown away by the difference (I think a large part of it was the sway bar bushings too). For $40 a shock (with the current 25% off sale) and a few hours time, I'm wondering why I hadn't done it sooner!
So two weeks ago while in CO for SAS8 I had my tensioner assembly bearing go out , starting squealing after a 10hr drive from TX to NM. Got spare parts from autozone ( it was Sunday , Toyota was closed ..figured I pick up oem parts further down the line), headed to Ouray. Camped,wheeled, had fun. Then split to Denver middle of week. She was squealing bad after that push through the Rockies. Got the oem parts from Toyota and installed. Luckily I had time at an air bnb. pulled steering pump, alternator and got new tensioner in with ease, couldn’t believe how shot the bearing was ! finished up just before the rain hit in the morning and went off to camp !!
Fast forward today, serpentine left chat while my lady and son are out on hottest day here in TX as of late. Luckily she was in a parking lot and could just leave the cruiser there for me. I re used old belt to save my spare when I was in CO, so luckily the spare saved the day

That doesn’t include the master cylinder I don’t believe. 47050-60043 is the P/N for the entire assembly I believe although worth checking via Partsouq or elsewhere. Worth buying IMO because I understand there’s a seal in the master that cannot be accessed or replaced.
The last of the LED bulbs I’ll need to do a complete exterior upgrade.

Plenty of diff/transfer case crush washer kits available like Cruiser Patch's below for the drain/fill plugs, assuming you're just talking about changing oils.

Now putting the cover back on is the question. Got all gaskets and magnetic bolts for simple drain and fill.
But want to take the diff cover off and just clean/ inspect the inside. At least on the rear, front is likely harder to to achieve, but didn't check yet.

Ah makes more sense, figured there was more to that. Per the FSM, it looks like there is a gasket (4218160070) that's used for the rear and FIPG for the front diff.
Finally pulled the trigger on a front bumper. I went with Coastal Offroad because I liked the looks and price, even though I have to weld it myself. I've never welded before...
But I think it's turning out alright. The instructions were mostly straightforward.
The little harbor freight welder I got seems up to the task.
I know it won't look as good as a factory weld but I'm happy so far. Just finished up the front welds last night and it's off to grinding/painting this weekend.

As an amatuer welder of several years, I admire your determination!
My son drove the 100 Series to college. Along the way (somewhere in South Dakota), he crossed a milestone.

Question, do you think it would be advantageous to do this while doing the thermostat so that the radiator hose is out of the way? Seems like it.
Thought this brake line was going to be way easier to replace, but, in usual Land Cruiser fashion, it was not.
The bracket that holds it to the frame was extremely difficult to remove in the tight space and the bottom side got stuck so I had to hammer it out for some odd reason.
Unless anybody knows any reason you should re-install the bracket to this line, I strongly recommend you chuck it in the garbage.
Haven’t bled the brake system yet so praying this solves my leak otherwise I’m ready to light the car on fire.
Also, for whatever reason, and in my 5 years of ownership of this truck, I have never checked the cabin air filter, until today. Turns out, the filter was never in there… so I bought one and installed it lol.

Still in progress, replaced passenger side in the meantime
Driver and rear next.. PITA job but very doable, 1st time attempting upholstery, took several hours, hope next will be easier.
Videos and instructions online helped a lot but rear (middle) bench is a mystery, couldn’t find any info on it. We’ll see how it goes.
