It made a huge difference. No rattles from the suspension. Still have some interior rattles and the rear bumper squeaks a bit. The items that were truly roached were sway bar end links, ubjs, lbjs and the rear ucas. The other bushings were worn, but not destroyed.
The steering is tight, way less roll in corners, no wandering around on uneven roads.
 
Modded a new donor pair of f250 sway bar end links to account for the 2” lift.

This will hopefully put and end to the creaks and clicks from the originals.

Had to shave the eye down to approx 18mm width.

Yes, the only thing I had in my parts bin that would fit was too wide and would rub on the abs sensor wire. I’m going to the hardware store today to get it buttoned up.

Other than needing a washer, and grinding things down, I think this is a workable solution vs spending $100 for overpriced extended versions.

Refreshed ac before the brutal South Florida summer.
Every 6-8 months I get a full evac, vacuum and refill, every time I’m missing about 1 lb of Freon, so obviously there’s a leak, but since at work we have that awesome machine that does everything in one sitting, I got lazy and didn’t look for the leak.

When I got home I had 3 cans of ac coil cleaning foam waiting, so i emptied one in the rear ac drain and opened up the front evaporator, replaced the seal to stop the wet passenger carpet issue, and cleaned the 18 years of crud, removed blower fan to clean as well.
All went smoothly, 2-3 hours, the last hour was fully dark. Cold and fresh AC is ready for summer!

Sorry no pics, it was dark and I was eager to finish.

It's not real exciting or glamorous, but it does keep the 2UZ happy.

The old 25-yo radiator managed 200k before it started leaking where the plastic meets the aluminum core leading to wandering temps between 188F and 194F. Nothing super concerning, and I could have just kept refilling the radiator but it was a good excuse for an upgrade. Installed a new CSF radiator and new radiator hoses, and the temps have become rock solid in the 188-190F range now.

Also installed clear corners I snagged to replace one broken corner light. The clears look much nicer on the grey palette.

The rest of the week was just spent fixing my previous work- replaced the OD button I broke last week when replacing the shifter, and fixed the driver's side Valve Cover Gasket where I had given it about 10x the Ugga Duggas it needed and split the gasket.

Because we all like pictures, here's one of my new temp range and other sundry specs...

Just when I thought my list was getting shorter, you convince me to add this!

I was chatting with a guy and he sweared by the steering dampener to reduce the steering wheel shakes. Makes a lot of sense, but I can also tell there is a lot of rattle coming through the rear as well.
 
Gave her a quick wash and decided to remove the ditch lights. I just don’t use them as much as I thought I would and actually prefer the clean look without them.

I finally got around to replacing my steering rack bushings with a kit from cruiser outfitters. Wasn’t too bad of an install with the rack still in the truck. Definitely needs a flexible head ratchet though. Made all the difference.

I also found what’s been causing the clunk sound in my front end. At some point my sway bar end link broke off!

Update, had the washers just didn’t realize some of them had a larger diameter to accommodate the flared post. Generally, I just assume nothing goes right and I have to go to the hardware store.

I had the rright idea but the wrong forum LOL

Today was a good day. New tail lights for the drivers side since I mistakenly closed the snow broom in the tailgate and broke the housings. I also tried to install a land cruiser roof rack on her, turns out they are different. I also serviced the spare tire winch and popped out the "lock" so its more accessible since I dont have the correct key to fit it. This $250 cruiser is solid ish lol 😆

Nice rig! I too am doing a light build on my black 99...just rack and sliders, and I have 18's...no plans for a lift either.

I also have sliders on order. Did a full bump test this weekend and no problem with the 33's interfering on stock suspension.
 
Side note: Two tire shops refused to put these tires on insisting they would rub the fenders.

Good to know...I have 285/60R18's Nitto's on now, closer to 31.5"
