Replaced slightly worn front stabilizer bar bushings! Just a few hours and a very hot torch. Gotta love the midwest.

Love the lights. Very cool. Do you still have the AHC system?
Yup still running AHC. Works great. It's been well maintained. The entire vehicle is great. I do all the maintenance. 2000 with 294k on her, I bought it last year from a guy in Tempe, had an entire book of maintenance done on it. I put the iron man bumper and 12k iron man rope winch in, the white knuckle sliders, asfir full skid plates, changed out all lights to LED, new magnaflow muffler, rear resonator deleted, already had DT headers, Wouxun KG-1000G GMRS, ceramic tint, upgraded sound system, Pioneer touch screen, kicker 12 in sub, focal k2 speakers, looking at rear drawer options for overland camping, I recently changed the valve cover gaskets, and spark plug o rings, cams still look new. I changed all oils Amsoil full synthetic. I'm a independent dealer as well.

Ordered some DBA T2 rotors from summit racing for an upcoming bearing repack. Came in yesterday and to my dismay the turds sent me 120 Prado rotors… so now I have to deal with that return, should of just went OEM but the ex “tuner” in me got in the way.
Just to follow up on this. Summit Racing sucks, IMHO. Customer service and ordering system is a mess, multiple dropped calls after waiting on hold, uneducated, etc... anyway, set up a return/exchange for them to send me the right parts, they were clueless so I got the right part # off DBAs website for them. A week later I call to check in and they tell me I'll have my refund in the next few days. Their system didn't have me as an exchange so told them about that and was told it would be a few weeks til they would ship. Long story short, canceled the order for a refund and got T3s and some DBA 610(?) Pads off amazon( cheapest price I could find.)

So, repack and brakes this weekend.

PS those hammer marks all over the hub are from a previous owner.

Nice, I too went with DBA T3's. I bought off buybrakes.com and autoanything had the pads. I bought the front hub kit from cruiser Teq. new bearings and new hub flanges etc. Made a huge difference in stopping power. Was defiantly a process for the fronts lol. But worth it.

Amazon links?

Guess what I got to install this morning??

Apparently my shop did not replace the second one when I asked (after the first one fell apart a few years ago). I'm an idiot for not double checking. Glad I found one nearby.

PSA: go check your heater tees right now. If you have plastic, order some metal replacements and some hose clamps. Takes maybe 10 minutes to swap. Do it.

Slee also sells all the DBA stuff. And they're competent enough to track down the right parts for custom applications if that's needed.
I really wanted to go through slee but the cheap bastard that I am couldn't swallow their premium on this one. I basically got the pads for free plus some going the amazon route. Really want their grease tool though so I don't have to dick with the pvc cap method but for a $50 tool they wanted $25 to ship it 90 miles so that'll have to wait til next time and I'll just pick it up.
Amazon links?
Front
rotors
Amazon product ASIN B007224C62pads
Amazon product ASIN B079S2TZ9K
Rear( I still need to order the rears) the don't have the pads on amazon, at least the 610s.

They are definitely an improvement and so far I just have the fronts. Cruiser Teq/Outfitters is just about my favorite vendor ever, always a good experience with using them. I think the next go around I'll be doing flanges, I switched side to side on mine this time and yeah quite the process overall.

Haven’t done much lately…

A few months ago I found a very slight seep in the coolant system. May have lost a few ounces over the course of the 10 months, since I last worked on the system. I replaced the oring in there about 4 years ago when it was leaking due to a PO adding FIPG or RTV in addition to the oring. I think I may have scratched the mating surfaces when cleaning the sealant.

Last month I was backing up out of a parallel parking spot and gouged the right rear tire sidewall. So I’ll probably replace them in the coming months.

Last weekend I checked the torque on my plugs. Hadn’t checked since August 2021 and they were all still at 17ft-lbs. I did have a slight panic attack during the process. I attempted to check the torque on the #2 plug and could not get the spark plug socket over the plug. A quick look down the tube and I saw that nut portion of the plug was black and misshapen. My initial thought was the plug had backed out and melted the plug. But I had no misfire, the coil pack was in very good condition and less than 2 years old, and there was no heat scoring or indication of exhaust gases escaping into the spark plug tube. I grabbed a long all and poked it. The all sunk in and I pulled out what can only be the rubber cushion from a spark plug socket. Needless to say I was relieved!

@ClassyJalopy this place has dba 44% off right now. Never heard of them but I just ordered rear pads, ordered rear rotors from amazon before I found this vendor.

That's a damn good deal but haven't heard of them before. There are a lot of negative reviews on BBB and I am not feeling adventurous :(
Thanks for sending this tho, I appreciate it for sure.

After a radiator, power steering rebuild, new hoe's, thermostat, gasket, red coolant, distilled water, several hours, new four letter words, alternator, three belts, new tensioner, broken fan shroud, I realized why all the therapists that my folks took me to as a kid said I hate myself. I get to do it all over again tomorrow. I forgot the new power wire and the new thermostat. Probably should get 8 more gallons of coolant in case I forget something else. :bang::censor:

Three belts? Timing, accessory, and...pants?

Three belts? Timing, accessory, and...pants?
Well, no one appreciates my plumber routine more than I do. Butt, I went through three because I purchased the first OEM accessory belt thinking naively that my H.O. alternator would work with it. After speaking with mud members and the manufacturer I realized I was a dummy. I then found a shorter 2225mm napa belt which I quickly destroyed after destroying the old tensioner. Sooo, here we are, at number three after the new OEM tensioner and some prayers to sweet baby Jesus this third time is the charm. Of course, after I dissemble everything install the power wire correctly fused, the thermostat, another new gasket and replenish all the new coolant I will promptly throw on the floor because my hands will no doubt be super slick, and throw in some choice words. We all know the routine.
