Yesterday I had a muffler installed. First time I’ve let anyone else work on the 100, they did great. Sounds perfect.

Also got my compressor in the mail.

Whose rig is this?

This looks like a built up LX that just had a really bad day but still protected it's occupants. I am impressed with how the right front LBJ held the hole wheel up when rolling it down the hill!!

Poor mans LRA.. 20 gallon blazer tank.

Haven’t left town yet but no drone to speak of otherwise.
Do enrapture us with tales of your super fancy "poor man's LRA" sir. We need to know stuff and things about more economical options for fuel capacity.

Just followed his lead. I’m about $350 into mine with all new parts

The other day I finally did the CV boot kit to fix a ripped boot. Packed the bearings and installed new brake pads too. On the outer boot, I used the clamps that came with the kit, but on the inner I ended up using the worm clamps with rolled edges (bought them from Cruiser Garage). Hopefully I don't have any issues with them. I used the recommended torque (can't remember what they were off the top of my head though). Installing the boot kit really isn't that difficult, but it was my first time removing the driveshaft so it took me a bit. Can probably do it in 1/3 of the time if I have to do it again.

Today I changed the oil on my 100 and my wife's Grand Cherokee. I never shop at Walmart, except to get oil because it is so much cheaper there and they have the 12qt bags/boxes. They happened to have Toyota OEM filters in stock this time so I got that too. Hard to beat $80 for all the oil and two filters to do two SUV's. Will be closing in on 200k miles the next time I change the oil.

Wait what? Please articulate this awesomeness. Is the oil the Chevron oil bag/box or another brand. Also, toyota filters?

A few easy ones were checked off the list today. New cabin filters, new 255/85/16 Yokohama pizza cutters, new OEM globes for the AHC as well as new pink fluid. Who doesn't love pink fluid? None of my old globes were bad, but I only had 4 to 5 ticks. Now, I'm at 12 plus ticks. Everything bled fine and I only had to use the one 2.5L can.
We're gonna need some pics of those new tires! ;)

Here is what I get. It has a bag inside, with a good on/off spout. The entire thing works surprisingly well (pours fast but controllable, you can get all the oil out, and you can get the spout off so you can refill with the used oil). For accuracy, I just fill up a 5qt or 1qt bottles with it so I know how much I'm using.

As for the filter, I don't see it on their site, but I have seen it discussed here or another forum that Walmart sometimes carry them. They had maybe 3 different sizes of Toyota OEM filters on the shelf. All around $7 I think.

Are yours still straight? I noticed while swapping tires the other day that I have at least one rear control arm of custom banana shape.
Well that’s interesting. No, mine were good other than the old bushings.

I replaced the front sway bar links with Moog. Very beefy, and apparently poly bushings. The old ones were only a couple years old and already falling apart. If you get these the bushings have a lip you need to cut off so you can get the nut started.

Thank you for this. I have been scooping up $40 cases of Mobil1 from Sam's club. This is better and more economical.

And then the fun..replaced the rack with a new Cardone unit. Not too hard, but trying to make sure the rack is centered was not easy. I also replaced the high pressure line, which was at least as much fun. Still has a bit of whine, when not turning, oddly enough. Getting it aligned as I type.
