Finished up the lower ball joints and brakes. Also welded up a sleeping platform with room for 4 storage bins underneath. The plywood has a hinge so it can fold over the middle row seats and fit a queen size air mattress.

What do you think about doing the lower BJi think it’s easier to do than the upper. I watched a guy on YouTube put a bottle jack under the arm and took a 5# hammer to it and voila it came right out.

Spent entire day gutting the interior, to sound deaden and dye the carpet black. Neither needed to be done, carpet looks new and there's no excessive noise into the cabin, just got bored. Driver's seat is at the upholstery place getting a new bottom cover, should get it back mid week.

You’re giving me some very bad ideas. So that RIT just sprays on. I remember dying 1/10th scale rc buggy wheels and we had to boil it

Yeah just add warm water to the bottle and shake it up and spray, let dry, brush the fabric the other direction and spray, let dry again. 3rd coat spray again, and this time use a towel to dap it and make sure the dye gets into the fabric evenly.

How long did you wait in between coats? With the heat we’re having in SoCal might be quick drying

Usually dries after 30 minutes in the sun here, it’s hot as crap. Find a place to hang up the carpet and spray it vertically

What did you use for sound deadening? I’m having new carpet and seat skins installed and wondering if I should just swing by the upholstery shop and put some sound deadening stuff prior to the carpet install.

My cruiser doesn't have factory door/courtesy lights so it's wired in on its own. If it had the connectors already there it would make the job super easy but this way allows me to turn them on/off at any time

Did you wire it up to the factory connectors?

I finally got my first day to work on the new project rig! Replaced some blown bulbs, took the roof rack off and cleaned/recoated it and switched out the hardware. Side steps were moved for the "instant lift" and it looks sooo much better! Steelies were prepped and painted. Tires are being mounted today. Hope to get them on and clean/treat the undercarriage this weekend.

It all started with "I just need to update my steering wheel... " and now look what you have done! ;) looks great!

Can you share more about your wheel refinishing process and what color you used?

Can't wait to see these wheels on your truck. I left mine black, but have been tempted to paint them.

New wheels and 35’s. First time on mt’s and might need some time to get used to them. Really like these Alpha wheels. They have a late 90's/early 00's Japanese look to them

Yep, those wheels are classy. They look modern at the same time too with that gunmetal color. Really nice combo with the white.

Straight suspension lift or paired with a body lift as well?
