Mine sits in the driverside door pocket - easy to access and can be transfered to a different car if needed.
I considered that a lot. I just have stuff on the door pocket I cannot move (detailing stuff and my garmin gps for mtb)

What color Plastidip? I can't tell if your truck is Riverrock Green, Smokey Topaz, or something else. But I think it all looks good. Very similar combo on mine.
That's rattlecan "gunmetal" dip. I think the truck is river rock green, so it's kind of a tone on tone situation, like when you get out of the house and realize you picked up your black pants to go with your blue blazer.

I could probably do both bumpers and the lower side panels in the gunmetal or a similar grey and just have two colors on there, but unlikely since at least the front bumper will get replaced with something else down the line. The reason for considering dipping the whole thing is that the hood and roof have lost 50-80% of the clearcoat that was ever there, and what remains is flaking away. So, since I don't have the $$$$ for a full repaint (and I'm not interested in banging up a freshly painted truck whenever I get it out to wheel one day...), we'll have some fun with it.

Not as exciting as everyone else's posts but I FINALLY got my plates and registration from the DMV. I bought the 470 from a dealership in October2020 who promptly took my money but did not process title/registration paperwork before selling his location and shutting down his business. It was a total PITA and a 6 month process to get this done.

Heres dat ass, had to take roof rack off to fit in the garage with 35s on

And can anyone smell this job still? I did a solid axle pickup I used to own over 10yrs ago and I can still smell that grease

While you’re in there may as well do a front diff locker. You only have to undo the diff centre

Finally got my Trail Tailor antenna mount adjusted and tweaked for my liking. I bought his CB antenna mast that goes into the regular antenna location. I don’t use my regular AM/FM radio and the factory antenna was broken and inoperative anyways. Also, before the masters of communicative devices chime in, I get it, CB’s are a bit outdated and old tech but my father and I use them to communicate on the farm as well as GMRS. Back to why I’m posting; the mast he sent is straight, no bends, and doesn’t exactly fit with grace into the factory location causing a slightly severe backwards lean. As well as causing a weird/hard fitment into the factory fender guard. He claims this allows for better SWR readings and adjustments but I just couldn’t stand the rake of the antenna. Today I took it all apart and did some adjusting. Got the antenna straight up and down, no torque on the mount due to the misaligned mount to antenna hole angle. Looks much more correct/factory and not so much thrown together. Now to get my SWR’s set. For the beer drinkers; check out Cosmic Pyrokinesis Hazy IPA by Mother Earth Brew Co. this was a one beer job lol.

That looks really good. Definitely looks better with the lean back.
How does it attach inside the guard?

Going to replace my Drain and Fill plugs on the 100 and 80 Series with Low Profile Magnetic ones. They use a 10mm Hex to install and remove.

No more chance of stripping the thin headed OEM fill plugs.

Will chase the threads of each diff and Tcase then install.

I haven't really had problems with the OEM's but what the hell....these are just better.

Actually the lean back photos is the before photo. Now that I’ve bent and adjusted the mast to be straight up and down it fits the guard perfectly with the supplied 3/8 hose the goes over the mast to flush it up with the guard. Before, the angle was so severe that the factory fender guard and antenna mast wouldn’t mesh correctly due to the angle. I had likes and dislikes with the lean, but with it straight up and down I feel it looks more correct in my opinion. It’s all about what you like though, when it’s your vehicle.

The old s***box is on thin ice as it is. Wife has noticed all the packages turning up the last couple of weeks haha. If I can find somewhere that'll take bitcoin for a locker, I might be able to hide it better :steer:

You'll love them. Especially if you precisely land the axle on a rock right near that bolt head. The little ring/guard around the bolt looks strong enough, but it can't take that kind of beating.

It's way more fun to replace these before the guard becomes a lock tab for the hex drain plug.

Dragged the Rpod down to escalate and got to test out the new LED interior lights “in the field”. Excellent 20 bucks spent. Bright. Not too bright. Hells Backbone to Posey Lake. McGraths Trail will have to wait till next time. Maybe a trip to Capitol Reef and we can bump over there. Didn’t get to try the new awning.

One new and one newly rebuilt (tonight). The new one also happens to be “Lexus”🤦‍♂️

I think I might do this too. My passenger side boot is shredded for who knows how long. I plan to buy a new axle for that side and then rebuild the passenger side to have on hand for when the driver side craps out.

Started out replacing radiator, hoses, thermostat and adding a coolant temp sensor.
Stripped down and found oil seal on injector pump was leaking and water pump was a bit tired. So ordered more Toyota goodness and kept going.
Put the front of the motor back together this afternoon.

Turned the motor over 6 times to convince myself I had the timing belt correct.
Makes it so much bigger job when you have to remove second battery, intercooler pipe work, redarc bcdc that lives behind the grill and trying not to disconnect the winch cables that run through the grill.
Hopefully get it going again Monday. Been told it’s a no car weekend. 😢

I like to 'maximize' the life of my brake pads. Ahem. Really though, this job got pushed up after swapping out my winter tires and realizing just how close to 0 these were.

New rotors, new pads - thanks for the support @cruiseroutfit and for videos found here on the forum for setting the breakaway preload [fish scale was easy and consistent]. Small tip I got from @2001LC was: smaller the torque on the flange nut, worse the bearings. Good news is the torque was in the 40s and bearings looked good. I'm at ~106K miles.

Next is to slap on the steel brake lines [cue the debate ... :D]

Had Slee install skid plates on my 100. After checking pressures on my TYT reader, looks like I will need to crank torsion bars a little more. Luckily, put on stock TBs, as AHC originals had run out of adjustment.

Ready to get out there and put some gouges in them!
