Replaced a dying AC Delco battery with a Napa Legend Premium 34R. It's smaller, but has better specs than the 27F's I could find locally. Fitment was no problem, but I did have to cut a piece of 1/2" plywood to use as a spacer until a proper spacer arrives next week.

Sooo, because I like you folks I’ll pass along a little mud hole I went down this evening. After throwing these new shoes on her she didn’t want to dance. She starts making lovely clicking sounds from the front passenger axle....not thrilled. Started searching mud and came across some sad stories of woe, cv axles, drive flanges, bearings oh my. I took another look, inspecting brake dust shield...and then noticed the balancing weights. The way they’re place it’s bumping into something in the caliper regions. First pics show passengers side wheel with grooves, others are drivers side that are untouched/not clicking. Who knows, maybe this is driving one of you nuckingfuts as I type this.

Those stick on weights are terrible anyways and will fall off if you do any wheeling. Take it back and get regular weights. Problem solved.

Just turn the radio up, looks like the problem will sort itself shortly

I thought this was blue painters tape at first glance. Why are you missing one of your orange 3/4” bullet lights on the passenger side?
The color is surprisingly close to painters tape. It's Monstaliner Smurfadelic blue.

The "missing" blinker isn't missing so much as placed on a different plane on the bumper face. Hard to see in that pic. Here's another that is slightly better for this view. I wanted to have a little more side on signal visibility.

Interesting.....not my cup of tea.

I spent a bunch of money with @Onur . The 1999 100 Series has been eating aftermarket CV axels since an insurance claim used Autozone parts while I was away from home for 4 months.

Coming up on 290K miles, with no intention of selling, it was time to make the front-end right with Toyota.

I hit up @Onur, and just as he has done for most of the last 20 years, he took extra time on the phone, talking me through the solution.

I use a shop that isn’t familiar with Land Cruisers, but are honest guys and fairly priced. From the Northeast, @Onur fills the gap of needed experience to my Toyota problems.

We settled on replacing everything a mechanic will touch (less caliper) while replacing the CV on the D/S, and just the CV on the P/S as it has had no issues.

@Onur even assembled the hub and labeled each Toyota part for the shop...

@Onur , the Land Cruiser SME formerly known as Beno, came through as always.

For me, especially, it’s his deep knowledge of Toyota 4x4s and sound reasoning/advice that I value most.

Thanks Onur!
