Makes me a bit ashamed about putting this off....
There is a big thread or two dedicated to this that you might find useful. Also, no matter what you read, I would recommend opening yours up and confirming which shaft type you have before you order new ones. I was positive that I was ordering the right one for mine (based on reading a ton of others changing theirs) and I needed the round shaft when I actually needed the flat shaft. Since I was in a hurry, I dremeled mine flat and it worked, but obviously that wouldn't work if the scenario was reversed.Nice .. I got one of those plates last week too and I just need to install it..... another thing I would like to do is change the door lock actuators in all 4 doors so I can use my door locks remote .. anyone has the part numbers for these ... it would be great if u could share.
A 10 year old child could do it at that point. Assuming their little arms are long enough to reach lol. The main problem was that the power steering pump was in the way and the timing belt covers made it a pain to get the alternator out due to clearance. If you were going to do a timing belt and the original alternator hadn't been done, would you change it then and how much less effort would it be "while you're in there"?
Finally got around to painting and installing the Massive Metal Shop center console vault. Fit and finish is excellent, may add some neoprene or other foam around the edges to prevent losing small things to the void. Stores multiple bananas, etc. Thanks @reznunt !

Made it out of EMT. I built one years ago for my 80 series and it's holding up well.Did you make that ladder yourself? Or did you buy it somewhere?
You could make it bit more OEM look with this switchAfter having the switch hanging in the foot well since I installed my ditch lights I somehow miraculously managed to make the switch fit damn near perfectly with a little grinding work. View attachment 2644874
