Made it down to Zion in anticipation of CruiseMoab !

Drive from Montana down to Utah was fairly uneventful.

Really happy with how the Front Runner rack worked out.

Also got to test the new ARB Zero fridge. Worked like a charm.

Will be hitting the back roads of Zion tomorrow.

Excited for later this week when I get to Moab.

Yep, I am running a diff drop (Trail Trailer version). I think 23.5" in front is still too much for these!
Holy $hit dude! No wonder you’re eating through boots. Surprised you’re not eating through CV joints, too.

Bride has had the truck since we got it years ago. I dabbled with adding things but she told me to stop messing with her truck. I pulled stuff and put it into my pick up. Well, pick up sold and the 100 is passed to me. Reinstalled the red arc duel battery with optima blue top. Reinstalled the arb duel compressor and moved the switch to the dash rather than under the hood. Next up is figuring out where to breech the firewall to run two 4 gauge wires for the rear to service the refrigerator and cooking lights for the kitchen. Plenty to do, no time to do it.

Slapped in new TB’s and springs, I left the stock shocks in play as they only have about 30K on them. Keeping it pretty mild, 21.5” up front and 22.75” in the rear. At least the 285’s don’t dominate the wheel wells anymore.

Replaced my passenger side headlight this morning. My passenger headlight had the chrome finish wrinkle up and fade. Driver headlight was really good shape. I bought a cheap OE RH headlight on eBay that had a couple of broken tabs but good housing and lens. I repaired the tabs by wiring and JB Weld and installed it. It matches the driver headlight really well in terms of condition and looks much better.

I have another CV axle vehicle that likes to do this to the outer boot. Seriously wrapping the boot stem and shaft in F4-Silicone Tape when new has helped it hold together. It will take a while for me to know if this makes a difference on the 100 series. You can see how the shaft and boot stems look mummified from being wrapped in silicone. LOL

The weirdest thing I did was put petroleum jelly on old boots to make them last a little longer haha

Finished ladder and added LED strips under the roof top tent.

Installed a remand'd Denso alternator. 10/10, would not do again.

If you were going to do a timing belt and the original alternator hadn't been done, would you change it then and how much less effort would it be "while you're in there"?

If you pull the fan and shroud out of the way, like you would when changing the timing belt, it won't be near as difficult. Much more room to work with.

Put on Method 315s wrapped in 275/70/18. Slight rubbing on the plastic covering the pinch weld but I just used a heat gun to melt it back. Also installed King Springs and did a small sensor lift in front and out back. In front, I just moved the adjuster nut to the top of the slot; I didn’t touch the nuts on the heim joint. Appears to have netted an inch in front and back. No change in ride quality; have not checked pressures yet but I was just about in spec prior, so I’m thinking it’ll be the same or close.

Nice looking wheels! Do you know if any of the center caps Method sells will fit on the front without drilling out the middle?

Installed a new shift indicator plate. Install was very easy (way easier than I thought it'd be), was in and out in less than ten minutes!

Part number 35921-60180, purchased from EB Toyota Parts for less than $130 shipped.
