Put on the part time 4x4 kit from cruiseroutfitters.com. So far Im loving it, cruiser feels more nimble and way more responsive to throttle. Also snow drifting and donuts are now possible so what's not to love.

Installing the spool in the transfer case was a major PTA without a lift. The directions that came with it weren't great. Should have used the toyota repair manual and watched the 4x4 shed YouTube video from the start when it came time to pull the transfer case apart.

Beautiful pics of breathtaking scenery!
Are those AT tires? what load rating? And what caused the puncture? How cold was it?
Yah, it's a pretty gorgeous area driving out to the glacier and down onto the ice. It's a 21 mile trail to the glacier, so 42 miles round trip of ice crossings, snow, and some rivers/streams. This year it was a pretty easy trail, since it's been so cold lately.

These are Toyo Mud Terrain 285/75 R 16 Load Range E Tires. I am pretty sure I either caught the edge of a rock slicing the sidewall or I went over the rock and the downward force popped out the sidewall. I am leading more toward the rock slicing the sidewall of the tire..... Definitely a bummer. It was around 30 Degrees F, so much warmer than it has been lately. I had to take the hill with a little speed, since it was so icy and I slid around a bit making it up the hill. Someone else had already attempted the climb and slid back down, so I didn't want to be in that same situation.

Here are a few more pics:

Very curious to hear if you have tried AT tires in similar terrain and if yes, then how they compare with your experience with MT tires.

I run BFG KO2 AT in that same size and last week I was able to negotiate about 18 inches of powder snow and slush a lot more easily with the ATs than some of the other guys running MTs. Here are a few screen grabs from a couple of cell videos.

Do these badges come stock in this color? Mine are gold (barf), thinking about painting them black or new idea this color you have right here 🔥

You talking about my Land Cruiser and sombrero badges? Yes that is the color they came in. One of the things I really like about my cruiser over others. Can't remember what the color is called. Not a very good picture so it's hard to see it here. Its like a gun metal gray.

When I replaced my grill I learned that the sombrero is only held on with a few bendy tabs. It's super easy to remove and spray paint.

I really like the color of your LC ... Did you add the light bar on top of the bumper or inside ? just wondering .
I need to build some sort of bracket for the front bumper so I can add 2-3 HELLA lights .

I got the wind fairing from Prinsu that has a cut out for a light bar. So it is on the front of the roof rack. Just bought a cheapy on Amazon but it lights up like a freight train.

Replaced front Upper and Lower Control Arms, Shocks, and Stabilizer Links w/Alignment. Re-indexed Torsion Bars, since I had to remove the LCA anyway. Repaired the leaky PS Reservoir line (return) and new Reservioir itself, flushing out the old fluid and bleeding the PS system.

So, busy weekend. Tougher job with one set of hands. Tough job, anyway you slice it.

Next, is the noisy exhaust manifold (prob going to put on headers..

Going to re-condition the Factory LCA and UCA with new Toyota Bushings and Ball joints (after a thorough cleaning and enameling) and keep them around to replace at another 300k miles. :)

If anyone is interested in pics, I can post a few.

Do post some pics. Did you end up buying OEM parts? I am sure a few of us will be interested in your reconditioned control arms if you decide to recoup some of the cost!
