Attention all aftermarket radio folks who use a Metra product!

Don't forget to tap the green white OEM wire for your illumination/dimming function. Figured it out and it is all good now.

@J1000 just in case you hadn't seen it, @BenCC is making an overhead mount for these now.

Your going to like that new radio. With the WireX you can literally sit in your driveway and talk to guys on the other side of the world.

I installed my new Dissent 'high clearance' front bumper. Easiest bumper install I have ever done. I still need to tweak it to get it 'spot on' from a level perspective, but I am very pleased. The powder coat guy helped me pick the color. My long term plans are to powder coat the sliders and wheels to match.

how much were the wheels? Those are nice!!

Thank you. $215 a wheel. Here is a thread on the F5.

photos of the projectors... sorry they are not the best nor do they do justice to the light. the first photos are still warming up and appear blue/green. the bulb is 4300k and very normal white and clear. I was quick with the photos and didn't do a hi-beam shot.. but the bixenons open as well as the top projector activating. light output is great.

Okay, gotta dumb it down for me. The stock wire is green and white, what does it need to be tapped into on the Metra product?

If I remember correctly, the last Metra adapter that I installed in my son's 2000 LC, did not have an "illumination" wire in it, based on this possibly faulty memory, I'm reading this as "tapping" the factory "illumination" wire and running it directly to the aftermarket head unit's "illumination" lead (not tapped into anything on the Metra adapter).

yes Yes YES !!!

Took the whole family camping--first time for all of the kids together--for the Independence Day weekend. State Park campground, nothing rustic, and fun on the river.
