Maybe if the cover were a different color, the size wouldn't be so in your face when stowed @FilleFloe. :hmm: Having all that shade must be nice though...

Installed my console RAM ball M2V2 mount from @BenCC a few weeks ago. VERY sturdy mount. Handled holding an iPad Mini over nearly 300 miles of corrugated gravel without so much as budging. Using the mount, I now have my MXT275 mic attached. I mounted the main body in the rear cabin. I ran a CAT5 line from the base unit all the way to the dash. I drilled a 7/8” hole between the 2 12v outlets and installed an RJ45 coupler. Makes it super easy to disconnect the handset and take it with me. Super stealthy. Installed the Midland 6db gain antenna on the bullbar. Installed the center console panel from @BenCC as well. Installed a BlueSea 12v outlet and a dual 3.0 USB port. Ran 16awg line off flag connectors thru a small hole in the back of the center console storage bin. Connected them to a 6 fuse BlueSea panel which is then connected to the battery (both positive and ground) with 8awg line with a 30amp in-line fuse at the battery side. All in all VERY impressed with BenCCs stuff. Top notch! Will be getting a few more panels from him in the coming weeks. Will be adding the headliner console to hold my Scangauge and another RJ45 coupler for the HAM mic as soon as he releases them and the cupholder tray replacement on the back of the center console.

Ooh, that's clean. Big blingy wheels aren't what I'd want for mine, either, but that looks sharp for a town-version LX. Welcome and enjoy! I'm jealous of the 190k miles that aren't on yours vs mine.

I'm finding there's a lot of crossover between S2000 people and landcruiser/ LX people. My S2000 is the garage dweller, the LX is the current main driver/project. Maybe I just really like Japanese cars of the late 90s/ early 00s.

Yeah, what year is the S2k? I had an '03 Berlina Black, that I unfortunately got rid of a few years back.

I did some testing with the 16x8 attached with brand new trailer brakes. I left some skid marks on the road with full braking and an empty trailer. Good to go!

Hopefully the truck will now track straight after lbjs, ubjs and tie rods had been all replaced new.

New poly steering rack bushings are now on. I have yet to take it for a spin and find out if issue is resolved.

When you take her in for alignment ask for maximum caster on front wheels. You should be able to get at least 2⁰ of caster with OEM UCAs

everyone at camps going to be staring, pointing and laughing when you roll up to set up, but once you have took 1 minute to set up for such a huge shade area their jaws will drop in jealousy at that amazing contraption...

it does look hilarious though 🤣

I had grip tape on some jeep sliders and hated it.

At first i was like whoa that is massive but seeing their video i'm impressed. It's UUUGGGEEE, just UUUGGGEEE!

In the time it took to create this video, the Defender broke down twice. :poop:

Changed the oil, vacuumed the interior, removed the back seats (no seats at all inside except driver/passenger).

Prepping for our camping trip and planning on sleeping inside the rig, but bringing a tent just incase.

Good call out there @ClassyJalopy this is noted. Took her out earlier and truck definitely needs alignment. I had this aligned by Firestone around 7-months ago and I wasn’t really impressed. This time I will have the local Lexus service align her.

back to what else have i done on the money pit

Inspired by the need of having a decent DRL visible even in the brightest days of the Nevada desert, this happened. Credits to @nukegoat as he was the first to do this but as a turn signal I believe cmiiw. Will wire this up tomorrow with a switch tapped in the ignition wire. Wiring diagram suggestions are welcomed.

@OEMGUY0720 Regarding DRL's... back 2005 or so, there was a recall on the LX470 as the DRL's were "too bright." All they did was add a resistor in the engine compartment near the diagnosis port. Not sure if your 2007 also has that resistor or if they made a different change. Anyway, if equipped, you might be able to just remove the resistor to improve DRL performance.

Cool info man I didn’t know that, thanks. I actually switched my high beam lights from halogen to LED a year ago to match those with the HiD 8000k low beams. Also the same moment I lost the factory-feature drls on the high beam because its led now, but that’s okay not really a fan of it anyway.

Mine's an '01. Also black. It's got an exhaust to make it annoying (lol- taking a cue from the harley guys and "loud pipes save lives..."), and some AP2 wheels to stick a little more rubber under it. Aside from that it's pretty much stock. Another rolling resto situation. Needs paint pretty bad - clear got nuked by the sun before I got it. I've had the plastidip set aside to do for a while, but the Lexus might get sprayed first since I actually drive it a lot.

Wired up the lights for the bumper. Very pleased with how this turned out.

I had an 06, NFR. I was pretty much stock other than Tein coilovers. Best car I've ever had- boy do I miss her. What kind of exhaust are you running?
