I am finally (FINALLY!) at the point where I can begin my battery management and OBA system. It's been way too long in the making; I've literally been planning the system and layout and collecting components since February. I'm not OCD, I'm just thorough haha.

I purchased the second battery and installed that and my compressor for a test fit so I can start to plan the bracket for my circuit breaker and ACR. Can't wait to have this setup finished, I'm tired of airing up at gas stations or bumming compressor time off others.

I also added my HIH8 magnet to my HIH7 magnet on my garage door. Can't wait for HIH9!

That is going to be a sweet setup! I've been toying with the idea of a dual-battery setup and OBA. Now you've got me itching to start collecting parts!

Got home today to find Trail-Tailor extended front anti-sway bar links in my mailbox. With all that @reevesci has been having to deal with lately it’s really amazing how fast he got these out to me. Top notch customer service.

I got them on this evening and I noticed a huge improvement in ride quality when I test drove. My goal is to get the LX back to as close to stock feeling as I can running these 35s and I feel like this was a big step in that direction. Next up is new upper and lower rear control arms.

Thanks again Jason!

If the mats were 1.5" wider, would the door have trouble closing?

Ah I’ve never been back there to check, wish they made it flat and thin at the edge where u can tuck it under the door guard, that would look clean.

Sold it to this very nice young lady that plans to drive up to Alaska and all over. Time to remodel the kitchen! Maybe get a 200 in a few years..,,

Mine showed up today, too. It really is amazing how fast @reevesci got them shipped out, all things considered. With your review I really can't wait to get mine on tomorrow!

Thanks guys! Just biz as "normal" as it can be right now. I'm at the mercy of the smoke, limited staff at businesses and hit or miss USPS and Fed Ex service currently.

Enjoy the ride!

Jason

Thanks @bozncsurf ! I’ll still chime in and what not. It was definitely bitter sweet..... I’m happy the buyer intends to use it what it’s for and I think I did well on the sale all things considered. I still have my wife’s GX to goof around with if I need to scratch the itch to wheel. Hard to get out with a 1 year old though...... I could see myself in a 100 series again, time will tell.

Listened to a buzzer in the cabin, called AAA, used the emergency brake to stop in my driveway, replaced master/pump/accumulator/expensive part. Bled, cleaned the bleeder bolts, hit a gravel road, and called it a day.

Check out Lloyd's mats—they are custom cut, and completely flat. I've had them in a couple cars (including our previous '01 TLC) and I loved the fit. They're not gonna hold a gallon of water…but they are "all-weather rubber mats", and I try to keep my colossal spills to a more reasonable volume. :hillbilly: Never had a problem in filthy, slushy Chicago winters back when we lived there and I had them in my V70R in a navy blue that matched the Nordkap carpet/seats perfectly.

I made more progress on my battery management system last night and I'm pretty proud of this one...

I've drawn most of my inspiration from @badlander who has one of the nicer battery systems I've seen. I wanted mine to look just as clean as his, so I knew I would need to fab some brackets for my circuit breaker and my ACR. This was the biggest unknown for me as I haven't done any sheet metal work since high school metals class where I created a dust pan lol, so this was a fun project.

I picked up a sheet of 16ga CRS and a Harbor Freight sheet metal bend brake and got to work. @kelly saad recommended I do mock fitments with cardboard and glue then transfer that to the metal, which I did just that. I used a beer box and some super glue and it worked out excellently. So thanks Kelly, you da man!

I just need to paint the circuit breaker bracket and get some proper hardware to secure it and that one is done. I hope to work on the ACR bracket this weekend if time allows.

Wow! That turned out great!

Well done! You may want to add some lock washers or nil-nuts to the mounting bolts so they don't vibrate lose!

Thanks man and you're right, that was old hardware I had laying around just for test fitment sake. I'll be adding nylock nuts, washers and proper bolts, and will be installing them the other way around.

What did the Master cylinder replacement cost you? Did you go OE?

Willbt, thanks for the compliments. Over 5 years now on my Blue Sea ACR and it has worked flawlessly. Not a single issue. You made a good choice in my opinion.

Installed my dual voltage gauge & a relay so I have accurate reading on my dual battery setup.

Spear2, I want that volt meter set!

I did that last month, but just the booster + rebuild. Yes expensive but will last another couple of decades
