Finally got my tires installed. Tirerack didn't have them for a while so I had to wait.
I went with 275/70R18 General Grabber ATx

I can't believe how much better the truck looks with these over the old Michelins. Now I need to get them off the pavement to see how good they really are.

I didn't realize General changed their side wall design on their AT's they look great!

Now just ditch the running boards
That's the plan. I should have just bought the MetalTech sliders when they were on sale. I just didn't have the funds for that at the time. Right now they will have to stay on - my wife is 28 weeks preggo so she needs some help up.

I thought so too. I didn't like the AT2 at all but those users did like the performance. Hopefully these will be even better. Initial reviews are positive.

Speaking of MT sliders... got mine painted and mounted this week. Went with VHT Epoxy in Satin Black, and really digging it. Also replaced my rear sway bar end links while I was in there. Glad that's done too.
Sliders:

Overall not too bad for 20 years old:

Next up cosmetically will be painting side trim and that mismatched mirror black. Then TB/WP and other related engine service coming this summer before some big trips in August.

Just finished an 8 day trip with the family. Saw some amazing sights including an incredibly friendly feral pony and it's family. The cruiser and family preformed admirably!

Did front brake pads and front/rear shocks. Went with Akebono ceramic pads and a set of slightly used Toyota shocks. I replaced some off brand shocks that were worn out. The rears were a PITA. The bottom mounts were completely frozen. Thank God my neighbor is an accomplished body man and mechanic. We ended up using a hydraulic wedge to push the lower mount off, leaving the bonded rubber bushings. We then used a cutoff wheel to split the collar and a air chisel to remove it. What should have taken an hour took two. But it’s done and the truck rides great.

We’re now ready for a road trip to Washington DC for the upcoming U2 concert and then the following week to Boy Scout camp in the mountains of Virginia.

Finally got around to re-installing the RTT, tuned the CB antenna, and replaced misc bulbs and maintenance items to kill some time. Starting prep for a road trip to Banff in a couple of weeks.

Put on my Marathon seat covers. Installed new head unit (pioneer 8200NEX). Added a dual port USB charger w/ voltmeter into my overhead switch panel.

Wired up my CB radio (still awaiting my firestik antenna).

And now to save up for the dissent rear bumper:bounce:

Prep for The Ocho.
Power steering flush. Front/rear/t-case drain and fill. Transmission drain and fill.
Firestick reinstall, CB check.
Air and pollen filters.
Touch up paint for the sliders.
911 got some fluids too.

Been putting up with these loose, wiggly sun visors for a long time. Today, my wife complained about them and asked me if I could fix them. 5 minute 1 banana job to pry off the trim and tighten the mounting screws. One of the screws had actually fallen off and was being held by the trim!

Repaired the broken console latch in my ‘06 LC by replacing the console lid with a part pulled from an ‘06 LX. I have dealt with the PO ‘repaired’ latch since owning the vehicle. I never bought a new lid because I also wanted to replace the top pocket that had been damaged when someone applied and removed adhesive backed Velcro. I also tried the tape slot for the first time after owning the vehicle for almost four years.

Difficulty: I finished the job before the last note of Free Bird. ;)
