When I replaced the coils about a year ago, I followed the step by step instructions here, but when I put the spacers in, I only disconnected the sway bar on each end as I was working on it - none of the lines were ever stressed. I'd say just put the frame on stands, disconnect one side's sway bar link, jack up the other side and watch the lines - if it's like mine, you can get both coils out without disconnecting anything else.

X2, no need to disconnect anything other than sway bar and maybe bottom shock bolt. I've done this twice in past couple months (first to replace springs, then few weeks later to add air bags) and it was quite a bit easier than some of the write ups I've seen here. You can keep tire on the side you are not working.

Oh yah, I did remove the bottom shock bolt, sorry - that adds an extra 30 seconds or so, hehe.

Sway bar and brake line connections.

Thanks!

Replaced the sub.
If you're refreshing all of your speaker grilles with black paint, fyi the sub grille is black plastic under the fabric.

Pulled the sliders off to refinish them. I tried using the Rustoleum spray bed-liner and it was horrible - it never cured properly and has been peeling off since I finished them about 18 months ago. Stripping them down to bare metal, priming, and painting with the typical enamel this time...

Gojira looks good without the sliders - kinda like when you remove the running boards! That said, I don't off-road without sliders, so I'll get them back on ASAP.

Not close to you, but there is one for sale right now. Toyota Land Cruiser 1998
Looks pretty clean too. I actually just bought my cruiser last weekend! 2000 with 177k miles on it. I actually flew to MN and drove it back home to Denver..so I'm going to hold on to it for a while...who knows, maybe spend the money one day and change the color

Congrats on the new ride!

Slick, I don't think I've seen the grills painted before. Wonder if there's a color that would closely match my tan interior.

I did this earlier this summer following @Scotch 's suggestion. The Weathered Wood is a great match. At first, I couldn't find it at my local HD and tried something close, but no cigar. So I sanded it off and did it again in Weathered Wood. Perfect IMO.

Also, even with a new sub, the bass is less than amazing. Got rid of the rattling at least. I'm considering removing the whole sub box and converting the area to storage. I'd like to have some kind of door installed where the grille and ash tray are.

I could write a novel on this, I yanked that out, replaced it with a Yaesu radio and ran wiring for two moveable subs.

Huge improvement in the music category.

Ring me if you're in the DFW area..

Baby got some brand new shoes. 295/70/18 Cooper ST MAXX. I also got the tundra wheels on finally. Picked them up locally on Craigslist and had them powder coated. Grabbed some Lexus center caps off eBay and hit them with a rattlecan paint job.

Tight squeeze but they fit absolutely perfect. They guys in the shop said it was "impossible" to fit but I told them to show me. Sure enough, fits like a glove. Have to thank @Ramathorn15 for being the first one to take this leap haha.

First pic is in N mode. Second is a close up of the front. Third pic is a poser shot in H mode.

While waiting for the primer on my refinished sliders to cure, I did one of my favorite mods to date:

Took it in to a buddy who cut out the rust around the driver upper windshield corner and shaped in new metal and paint. No more leaks!
Thursday paint, Friday morning a proper windshield install as a previous bad install had lead to the rust.

We drove both 100s to float from Narrowsburg to Lackawaxen on the Delaware River. Caught bass and blue gill all day.

I was surprised to find that the raft trailer was hooked to the 02 and not my 07. My husband said: what's the big deal? And then when we were leaving he said: next time mine is the chase truck. We drive both trucks to run the shuttle after we take out.

The one picture I took driving on Roebling's Delaware Aqueduct. Roebling designed the Brooklyn Bridge 20 years later...

I have been trying to steal the 02 for the past year but I drove both LCs back to back today and got in mine, sank into the seat, and it felt like a cocoon. I'm giving up on stealing the 02. Officially.

This week I am determined to do rear brakes and rotors on the 07 without anyone's help. We'll see how I do.
