I've had a full set of doors for a couple years now and have planned on doing this. Not sure if I'm ever going to get to it, so I might have doors for sale if you are looking for some.

Anyway, something that seems to be important is to keep the upper door frames. Some are concerned about the amount of body flex that could happen while wheeling and that the regular doors may not fit correctly when put back on. Personally I think people are overly concerned. Guys with 4Runners are seen wheeling doorless all the time and their doors go back on just fine. Sure, the 80 is heavier than a 4Runner but an 80's frame is much beefier too and probably flexes less.

Anyway, by keeping the upper door frames I think if there was any body flex, it would be kept to a minimum with the door frames in place. Besides I think halfdoors look better with the full frames.

Yeah I think I would keep the upper frames.

So how much would you want for those doors?

Thanks for the info!

Well I'm now putting on ome420's and 423's which is a 5" spring! Should be done today and I will post up pic's.

cool. cant wait to see pics.
do install shots.
Sorry dude! I didn't get by the shop quick enough, they already had them in when I got there! :doh:

So here it is with the 5" lift! The "After" pic.

And here is the "Before" pic. I think I gained some where around 2.5"s in lift. It may not look that much taller in these pics but it's seems huge in person!

In this pic it looks like the drivers side tire leans in at the bottom but it's really not. The side wall is flexing out (only have 10psi in) and then the sun hitting it the other side makes it look that way.

I will be extending my panhards later just wanted to get the lift on for the trail ride to Death Valley this week end!

Stay tuned....more pics to come!!!:steer::cheers:

HREW 1.20 wall....I know, I know, I should use DOM but I don't plan on get'n to crazy in this thing and the price difference is a lot. Also I have always used HREW 1.20 and haven't had any failures so far.;p

:flipoff2: this post from the first page definitely needs to get bumped :flipoff2:
