What did you do with your Tundra or Sequoia this weekend?

Started building it for the long trips.... rockers (steps for the dog) and the rear swing out.
Front and camper shell rack in the works. Maybe rear Deavers

Got back my V35a fts blackstone oil report
30 000km and no bearing aluminum, very low wear metals, some fuel dilution, which is why its getting run on 30w instead of 20w
this is the 6th oil change, toyota filters amsoil 0w30

I went back and finished the brake job on the Sequoia. I replaced the caliper mounting bolts front and rear, bleeder dust caps all around, the 1 torn front caliper dust boot and the anti-rattle clips for the rear calipers, they had come off and I didn't have replacements when I did the brakes.

I also replaced the rear hatch struts with factory Toyota struts, HOLY crap is the hatch a heavy beast.

First time towing anything and it wasn't a terrible experience. Albeit it was fairly empty. The biggest challenge for me, being new to towing was finding places to park and figuring out where I couldn't fit as I'm not super confident in my trailer-reversing abilities yet.

Gassing up at a Costco on Sunday was an experience for sure.

What a gorgeous Sequoia. I absolutely hate the way the new Tundra's look, but the new Sequoias look way better.

Took her off on-road duty, to go do some trail clean up with the club. Gotta strech 4lo every now and again

Sometimes you have to err on the side of caution...

That's life in the soggy PNW. Had roads wash out behind me a couple of times and witnessed a rock slide or 2. It's always in the spring on a nice day that isn't supposed to get rain. Weather forecasters, Bureaucrats, Congressmen and Postal employees...only jobs where you can constantly screw up and keep your job.

I've yet to get stuck behind a washout or slide. Trying to think who I'd even call. Maybe DNR since they manage the land in that area? Call the feds if it's NFS land, if anybody would answer the phone?

I traded in the ‘19 Tundra CMax Platinum on a ‘25 LC 1958. The new LC is soooo much more comfortable! I hated the seats in the Tundra, to the point of taking my ‘03 Sequoia on longer road trips despite it having 300,000 more on the clock, and being a base model. I will not miss the Tundra and it’s 10 mpg at all. Goodbye, Jeff.

The ‘03 Sequoia will get a bit of time off for good behaviour and a bunch of long deferred repairs to things like a stuck blend door in the HVAC etc. I couldn’t really take it apart for days on end since it was the primary dog bus. With the 250 now filling that roll, it can sit awaiting parts for a week or so if needs be. I’ll roll along in my 600,000 Tacoma in the meantime.

Bought this truck 1 yr ago yesterday. Had the SOS Lowering Kit and SOS Airbag Kits ordered and finally got the time to finish install. I know it’s a 4WD. But the tailgate is 6-7” lower so I can actually get into the back without a ladder. I can load stuff. The wheel well openings are both exactly 38” from ground and a 4’ level has a centered bubble along the bottom of the canopy. Rides nice so far. Couldn’t be happier. Loaded with 11 psi at the moment

Visted White Sands National Park on Easter Sunday. Found our way to the Lincoln National Forest to cool off. Visited Bluff Springs. Got to explore about 100 miles of forest roads. Now to start the laundry list of items on this setup to make it perfect.
