What did you do with your truck this week? (1 Viewer)

Going to put metal tape over them and roll with Monstaliner. Just have to wait for it to warm up. In the meantime, probably duct tape. I can't get and of those plastic plugs to fit well enough.

Today I can, as the title says, tell what I did WITH my truck. ;)

Today I drove 350 miles round trip to haul back this gigantic antique apothecary cabinet and these 4- 12' cedar posts.

Posts are 10"x10" and 3-6"x6", all sawmill cut cedar and will be used for building our entrance and to hanh the gate from at the farm. The cabinet is just shy of 12' long and has 55 drawers. It's from an old pharmacy in Glasgow KY.

Matt, that stuff looks awesome. You and Erin should start your own American pickers show. I can see it now. In all seriousness, there is good money in selling reclaimed lumber, if you have a good source.

That thing is huge!

Thanks guys. Erin loves old stuff. It is in storage right now, but we are planning on building in the next year or so and since we already have our floor plan, she has already started gathering furniture for it.

Give him a few months, he'll take care of that

Just got my rear shocks back from rebuilding at ICON. The right side blew a seal just a couple weeks after the ACC Fall Family Reunion event. Sent both back for servicing since I've got probably 40-50K on them. All inner workings of the body were serviced and the shafts replaced. They replaced one bushing at the eyelet.

Are those lights in the corners or just reflectors?

Drove down to Erhardt, SC last weekend for the Broxton Bridge Dual Sport. Camped in the back of the 60 on Friday night and stayed reasonably warm.

On Sunday, replaced my choke cable with a new one from beno. Can finally start my truck without popping the hood to disengage the choke afterwards. ;)

Also acquired a new driver-side mirror, but forgot to order the bolts and rubber pad. I'm tempted to just source some stainless metric bolts from AAA Fastener & Supply, Inc.

Windshield is getting replaced with Pilkington glass (probably Chinese these days?) and Precision gasket by a place called 20/20 Auto Glass on Tuesday. These guys seem knowledgeable and ordered both styles of rubber gasket so I can pick which one to use.

I've got desmog components from JimC on hand and ready to go, but may need some assistance on that project. :):wrench:

How spend is a winshield? I need to replace mine this year.

Pick up a buddy propane heater with the safety cut off for camping in the truck. Several of us run them. You will need it for black balsam this coming fall.;)

Hmm mine is just scratched up really bad. Might be hammer time...
