Replaced my worn springs with OME stock height replacements. Would have been a  job, but one of my rear strut mount bolts broke:bang: 5 hours later we had it drilled out and were back on tap (easy outs do not work for that bolt...lessoned learned) Next will be the install of my new Slee stainless brake lines:clap:

My 80 has been parked outside for the last two weeks while it's garage space was being used as a work area to build two window seats. Shouldn't have taken that long, but it did. It doesn't get driven everyday, but I took it out on Thursday without issue. Went to put it in the garage (finally) and discovered a baby mouse on my driver's side floor liner. Long story short, found a nest under the center console. It was right in front of the power and 2nd start buttons. Would have never known it was there. Cleaned everything up, but still had the lingering smell of death in the Cruiser. Not good. Ripped the seats out and found two more dead baby mice. Got rid of them and cleaned up the areas and the 80 is back to smelling like an 18 year old truck again! I hate mice.

Yuck is an understatement. I've had vehicles parked outside as long as I've been driving (26yrs) and have never had this happen. It was disgusting. On the bright side, the 80 did get a good cleaning!

Sliders installed & painted.

Lexi received her last major purchase of the season... the rock sliders are on & ready to go sliding.
I got a really good deal with them welded on with no paint. So, today I taped her up & painted them with the Dupli-Color Bed Armor. I'm hoping the bumpy texture will help with the family getting in & out without slipping.

I got the blog stickers on today also. Big family trip coming up this week. I'm really looking forward to getting up into the mountains where there are trees & fresh air. Now that the T gears are in & sliders on this sould be a more relaxing trip in the rock limo.

Neat blog you have there.

@vladi80 What lift and tyre size is that? Looks about what I'm shooting for.

That's what I suspected! Sweet. thanks for that!

Cut the back of my ARB rack to make my Overland tent fit. Tent is now bolted on and ready to go.

Discovered that the horrible whine coming from under my hood was as I thought... the a/c compressor... pulled the belt, and just gonna run without it till next summer.

My rear pax axle seal leaked last June in Rubithon. Jeff at Central Coast Cruisers had an old one to spare and put it on.
So I finally pulled them back out and rebuild them.

Also, few months back we bought a '95 with a motor that overheated badly and came with a spare motor. Started to take things apart and I'm really learning a lot from it. My uncle has been great on schooling and supervising me.

I drove it yesterday cause I missed it so much being out of the country for a week. Saw about 5 80's in Los Cabos area. All of them looked stock.

@vladi80 how do you like your BFG ATs? I have practically the same setup and rims (OME Mediums tho), and am eyeing the new ATs. Nice truck!

Missed it a bunch. Currently on the other side of the country on a temp work assignment. One more month to go. It helps getting on here and reading what other folks are accomplishing!

The new KO2's are great. Hardly any road noise and i feel a lot more lateral grip than the original KO's. Haven't gotten a chance to test them in dirt or snow yet. I would definitely buy them again.
