My son had a MTB race in Frisco, CO so we decided to take the teardrop out and do a bit of backcountry exploring near his race

Went to the local co-op grocery store with my wife and son. Spotted a white 80 (learned it was a 94). Stalked everyone until figured out it was a high school girls'. I asked her about it and her mom bought it new in 1994. One owner, white, stock, 132k on the clock. I offered to buy it and gave her my number to give to her mom. The girl said, "Well, she can't sell it until I graduate next spring."

I passed on a local 79 FJ40. White as well but it had been "restored". Wrong white, diamond plate on the side steps, Jeep wheels, and ridiculous money.

Took my son fishing in the 80 both days along with changing the oil and lubing everything. Ordering U joints tomorrow. Next weekend is U joints and shocks weekend.

What did I do with my land cruiser this weekend? More like what didn't I do..... After my Duchess brought me back to school last weekend, This whole last week has been filled with cruisering... And I love every minute of it!!! Here are a few pictures of some adventures I took with my iphone at the beach in Gay, hence the quality being meh. But I can tell you one thing, LOCKERS ARE AWESOME!!!

Also those two other cruisers, Not my Duchess, are FOR SALE in Dollar Bay, Mi. I spoke with the owner of the shop, Jason, super nice guy. PM me if you'd like some info and the story.

Flushed my coolant system in preparation for doing a radiator swap tomorrow. Fun.

Took a drive up a local mountain to scope out my hunting spots. Took a little hike and was about 20 minutes away from the vehicle (with no firearms:doh:) and I get the feeling to turn around. I do so and see a cougar creeping up behind me, it was about 12 feet away. A little bit of yelling and waving a stick at it was enough to scare it off but still, talk about getting chills down your spine.

Always carry a firearm. Always.

Went trail riding down in the Pinelands with my Jeep buddies. Very dry this year, but found a couple holes.

My rear pax axle seal leaked last June in Rubithon. Jeff at Central Coast Cruisers had an old one to spare and put it on.
So I finally pulled them back out and rebuild them.

Also, few months back we bought a '95 with a motor that overheated badly and came with a spare motor. Started to take things apart and I'm really learning a lot from it. My uncle has been great on schooling and supervising me.

PLEASE use jack stands, block, stack a a couple wheels, a tree stump, ANYTHING to place under that truck in the event the jack fails or slips!

12 feet away?!? That's crazy! Did you soil yourself?

My wife and I drove down to Slade Kentucky to run a couple trails. After that we drove over to Natural Bridge and hiked to the top.
A great day trip.
