In an effort to brighten up this thread... I used my 80 to drive my son to his high school baseball games this morning, stopped and fished for a little while on the way home and caught some nice bass. Then washed her up because I got a phone call and...wait for it...I GOT A JOB MOFO'S! So I will be driving my 80 to my "Offer Meeting" tomorrow! WOOHOO! Let the hunt for 80 #3 begin!!!

A man has to have priorities, after all.

Not a whole bunch of pictures, but I spent the day doing wedding preparation . My Series 80 showed off its workhorse side, hauling plates and glass ware from various sites to the other. Also did a bunch of chasing down East Coasters and Europeans driving rental cars down gravel roads, getting lost. Took a dog to the vet where the DC resident who brought it was astonished that a) the bill was only $100 and b) the vet didn't even own a credit card machine. We determined that Iowa vets are cheap enough to justify veterinary tourism from the East Coast.

I was extremely fortunate to get a few minutes of one on one time with the bride, as she demanded a ride in Marjan

Back in 2010-2011, we spent 18 months working in Afghanistan together. She is one of the best and most talented individuals I've ever had the honor of working with. I had rigged up the interior to look just like our Series 76 we had there, to include my "Hello Kitty!" be-stickered M92 Yugo Krinkov

We took a New York fashionista to Wal-Mart, where I bought a tube of Moly grease and they both stood around looking elegant in the parking lot while I rolled around under the truck refilling the birfs. Since I installed the extended breather tubes, no more birf barf in my diff, btw.

Today the girls are all going to the cosmetology school in the parking lot of the farm and feed store to get their hair done. I'm not invited for that, but wished I could be the fly on the wall.

Congrats, on the job, now go get it! Does that mean your 80 is up for sale?

If it isn't Blaine's Farm and Fleet it's just an imposture cosmetology school! Every true Iowan knows that. :)

Hell no! I bought it new in 1992. I will never sell it. I bought one for my son a few months back. Now I need to find one for my daughter. I have a one owner, 2002 4Runner Sport (Silver with Grey Cloth) with 78k on it that I'm going to buy for her until I find the right 80 for her. Can't pass it up. Texas truck, $2000. It's a buddy's wife's truck and she got a new one. This one has been sitting for 6 months with an occasional drive to "dust off the cobwebs". He was going to keep it for his ranch but bought a 94 80 from me a month or so ago instead. After driving the 80 he has deemed the 4Runner "not ranch worthy". haha.

Edit: For the mathematically challenged this would amount to 3 FJ80s. :)

I knew that cup holder was good for something.

I had lofty goals for this weekend since it's mostly free but it's supposed to be over 112* in the valley and I can't park in the garage so I have a feeling I'm not going to get much done unless I work during the night. This sucks.

On a side note, I just got a reminder that I need to get a life :(

But look at it this way: You're number 1 on the total number of "Likes"....CONGRATULATIONS! We LIKE you! Now, doesn't THAT put food on the table?

Holy crap that is freaking nuts!! Can't be accurate. I'm calling Shenanigans.

EDIT: I should leave MUD now so I can end it on a high note :flipoff2:

You're in 4th place for most points, and in 14th for most number of messages.

You need to get a life.
