Luke Bryan said rain make corn, corn makes whiskey.
All I know I get my whiskey from the liquor store. I don't know what the hell the other two things are that apparently make whiskey.

You caught the Luke Bryan reference.

We are tip toeing awfully close to Chit-Chat territory...

Let's get this back to tech, that Iowa corn also produces 25% of all ethanol. You're welcome for the poor gas mileage.

Well, I went to take my son to a friend's house for a sleepover. Then a Hurricane or something came through while we were driving. I got home and ordered a dorkel. She didn't let me down. On my way out I flashed my lights at a Dodge Durango and told him to go back.
Wow, in Florida we call that an afternoon sprinkle :-) Nonetheless it's a great reason to justify the dorkel.

What color is this? I love white on these pigs. If I could I would do VW Alpine white. A little hail to my VW/Audi history...first one I ever owned.

Congrats, the truck looks great!

Never seen bacon like that but damn it looks good at 7AM.

I drove my Series 80 Landcruiser to the store and bought that bacon. (Note the gratuitous LC mention) They had a 2/$3 bacon sale (That's $1.50 a pound!!!) I made a bacon wrapped grilled cheese sandwich with some of the bacon.

What store has bacon at $1.50/lb? I need to make a bacon run. I have an extra deep freeze that I am looking for a use for.

Yes. I had a little house in Lake Worth. I do not miss the Florida "sprinkles" every day or the humidity associated with it.

Bacon looks good every minute of the day. Maybe you could come up with a "Bacon Wrapped Cupholder" or "Bacon Wrapped Armrest with Built In Dual Bacon Cupholders". Just a couple product suggestions...

Hehe, all that cheap bacon and there are still people starving to death. Death or bacon, split second answer, eat the bacon. That grilled cheese & bacon sandwich looked delicious!

No doubt, the humidity here sucks! If I weren't married to a Floridian, I'd absolutely be somewhere cooler. Preferably with mountains to go wheeling too!

Dual Bacon Holders? Yummmm, let me get that on the design table, if nothing else I'll eat some bacon.

Picked up the Africa 80 after the respray... will spend the weekend installing Fatmat sound insulation. Picture in next post..

What do you mean?

@mussy do you have the only 3 FJ80s in all of France? I've spent time in St. Jean d' Angely, Surgres, Torxé, Versailles, Paris, Cabris, Nice, Monaco, St. Paul De Vence, Mougins, Grasse, Valbonne, Canne, etc etc etc and NEVER once saw an 80!!!!

Christopher Creek area again just below the Mogollon Rim. Funny thing, saw a brand spankin new jeep follow me on a trail--I veered up this tiny hill, he turned back after I got up--probably didn't want to rub off the the armor all on the tires. I felt heroic.

Joey, I have seen 3 80's in the 3 years I have lived here on the French/Swiss border. 2 of my 80's are French registered, both I saved from being scrapped...and turned from low value to high value cars.

The third is registered in Eastern Europe (and is in fact my first 80) lives at our residences in Hungary and Slovakia. This has been twice over the Sahara from Europe as far as Guinea Bissau (below Senegal).

All are 94 VX HDJ spec.

My latest is the one which has just been resprayed will be my Africa car. The other 2 are well speced and could go off road anytime but I keep them now as daily drives at our homes.

Every time I upgrade I try to do to all three, that's just the OCD in me....

It's an affliction I just can't seem to get rid of....
