Replaced another hose that sprung a leak. Had flushed the coolant system right before winter. Did it again last weekend. Didn't flush it this time. Just swapped the hoses (and lost about 2.5 gallons of week old coolant). Filled system. Then started it up and burped it with the front end still on jacks. Topped it off. Good to go. Now, just need to make it 3-4 months until I pull the motor and rebuild it.

8000 feet in the Sierra. Not looking good...

I had my third to last Army Reserve drill weekend. Shaved off my prodigious beard, put on my newly arrived IH8MUD stickers and drove to drill and back.
Then, FEDEX almost delivered my new radiator without destroying it. Almost. Evidently in FEDEX language "Fragile - This Side Up means "Try to stomp the crap out of this package, and then lose parts".

... Then claim that the shipper failed to properly pack it!

Wow, this summer could be interesting. They might actually enforce no watering of lawn first time.
We get watering restrictions every year. We've been in drought for years. Several very large lakes are all but gone. We have a pond, about 55 acres that's been there since @ least the 1930's, @ the ranch that was full one month & gone the next & has been gone since 2011!!!
