You know you live where it snows a LOT if you have to own a "SNOW RAKE"!!!!!
Who doesn't own a snow rake???

Started thinking about how to get my 80 back on the road.

Not weekend yet but due to my indigestion and the need move around I replace my el cheapo ebay projector headlights with oem LX head lights and grill. Think I like he classic look much better. Now I just need to wait for the LED bulbs to show up.

Well it wasn't this weekend, and I didn't do it - but somehow we got freezing rain at -16C.... I got a temporary white paint job.

Got my milage cheque from work for the past few months.... Time to buy some new shocks. Question: my truck has a ~3" lift (Prior to my ownership) and I'm pretty sure the shocks I have right now (which are shot) are not the right length... Seeing as I am 3" over stock height, how do I source shocks... As much as I'd love to go with OME shocks, it's not in the cards. Looking for a budget shock to get me by for a while, but can't figure out how to source them, as every website I find will only list stock height shocks, or "expensive" ones. I know what I'm looking for exists!! Who is ~3" over stock and running "inexpensive" shocks?

I put a wind generator on the hitch of my LC so that when I drive down the road, it spins, generating additional power to charge my auxiliary battery setup.

<bring back dead thread that none of the newbies will understand>
But what happens if you are driving on a treadmill, does the wind generator take off?

Water injection used to be the pre-NOS power adder, back in the day. All it really did, however, was to cool the fuel/air "slug" that entered the engine and slowed down pre-ignition, and therefore allowed more advanced timing and higher compression.

It was used mainly among high performance reciprocating engines on WWII and later fighters. However... it really trashed engines with long term use.

Here are some pics of a dual battery setup and a wind generator.

Just installed my air lift this evening. Then put the 35s on as soon as it was out of the garage as it will no longer fit in with the RTT on.

Gave the cruiser a vacuum and bath for her birthday. Prepping for trip to north Georgia this week.

jacked up my truck to check for any play in the front wheels and found the drivers side is pretty bad. Opened it up and found I had spun the thrust washer and its stuck in the 7 o-clock position. WTF! Having trouble getting it off, dont want to use the big hammer but I might have too.

Last weekend I replaced the lower inlet hose that attaches to my radiator. Yesterday I sprung a different leak. I was hoping to make it until spring to replace all of the hoses when I rebuild the motor. Isn't looking promising...

On the upside it's 30 degrees today so I shouldn't have to run my heater full blast to keep my garage tolerable.
