It's a diesel.

@NLXTACY
i know. i'm reading your thread on over heating of your truck , verry intresting .
have'nt finish it yet.

Its like a "who dun it" or a "choose your own adventure" :flipoff2:
Oh, we know who dun it, and how, and with what, now you just need to go turn a few wrenches and fix it!! ;)

I have no idea what I am looking at. Info?

Fuel startup/shutoff solenoid. Mounting bolts sheared off on the way to TN. I have theories on why that was linked to my engine not shutting off when I wanted it to and shutting off when I didn't want it to. Going to start a new thread in the Diesel section to discuss.

There's a thread on the 'mod' that explains it better than me but basically:
Slide AC control ALL the way cold

Look at heater valve

Adjust cable so it allows the heater valve arm to close all the way

What it does is stops all the coolant that's hot from flowing so it allows the AC to blow colder.

Correct order of operations for me would be:

1. Get A/C working at wife's demand
2. Do heater valve mod

Changed the oil again. Cleaned things up.

Went wheelin! Easy run up signal peak, these are the only shots I have on my phone, action shots to follow

Ramsey Re12000 winch rebuild winding down, starting to get truck ready for it. Replaced battery terminals with VTE heavy duty terminals and insulators, finally installed the new hood struts I got last winter, started soldering terminals onto the 2 gauge cables to power the winch. Still trying to track down an elusive very slow air leak in my airbag system. soaked penetrating oil onto the spare tire windlass crossmember bolts, that piece has to come out so the winch will fit under. Dumped out the tuna can under the air filter and found that it has a little water drain on it, I never noticed that before. Makes sense since it is the low point in the system, but if it leaked it'd make the snorkel kinda useless. (I lknow opinions on that vary anyway, but I like mine so don't :deadhorse:) Mine looks like it is in good shape, but that's one more thing to keep an eye on.

Installed OEM cargo area window guards. Cleaned the crud off of the C Pillars

Wheeled the "Lockwood" and "Miller" jeep trails whilst pulling my truck bed trailer. A couple Tacomas with us had to get pulled up a few times, but the 80 made it unassisted, only tearing off the rear drivers side fender moulding and a dent in the trailer.

Replaced my rear oxygen sensor. All these other posts are making me very jealous - you guys got some great wheeling in. Very nice!

How much are the oem O2 sensors?
