Bent driver LCA, dented passenger rocker (not major), rock rash on both diffs and ARB wing....ACC Fall ride at Golden Mtn Park, Sparta TN.

Started installing my glowshift gauges thnx to jcardona1 who posted his setup with partnumbers. I thought lets do that quick and easy......but it is/was neither. :hhmm:

I have the grey interior and am now doubting if I should paint the A pillar pod in light grey like the pillar or just leave it like it.

Ok, time to get serious: I've contacted my local tire/mechanic/4x4 shop, and I'm dropping off my '97 FZJ80 this afternoon so that she can get new 285/75R16 Nitto Terra Grappler AT tires. Also, oil change and check/flush/change all other fluids, belts, and hoses. It's only money, right?

Whoo Hoo! She is oiled, lubed, checked, and "tired".

I bled the brakes, they feel a bit better but still a bit soft, gonna bleed em some more this next weekend!

Painted my dash inserts/surround.

Removed the bug shield.

Disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled the rear door switches.

Checked plugs, cap, and rotor. Just to make sure everything is good.

Installed my MUD stickers on the rear side windows!!

Installed a new kill switch in the winch solenoid box, and got the winch wired back up and working.

Sealed the new switch and box with FIPG, million and one uses for that stuff.

I replaced the wiper blades, a parking light, dome light, and installed the little plastic cap so that the passenger power seat works now. Big day!

  1. Get a 15 foot length of clear tubing.
  2. Connect one end to the bleed nipple.
  3. Feed the other end into the brake reservoir.
  4. Make sure the reservoir is full and you have extra brake fluid on hand.
  5. Bleed until fluid reaches the reservoir.
  6. Fill the reservoir to compensate for the fluid in the clear tube.
  7. Pump your heart out until all air bubbles disappear. No screwing/unscrewing necessary.
  8. Repeat.
  9. Laugh at everyone doing it the "old"way.

He has another post somewhere where he (first) describes bleeding out the old fluid while carefully replacing with new fluid in the MC until clear fluid runs through the tube. Then the tube in inserted into the MC. Hope that makes sense...I have been typing for 12 hours straight...

Thanks Western...

That makes more sense but still seems like pushing allot of fluid uphill...

But hey, if it works!

There's a couple threads here on how to fix those sagging cargo nets on the back of the front seats - if you were thinking of fixing them.

Pulled my front drive shaft...

Just picked up my re-worked 2003 Tacoma DC shaft for install this weekend.

Fingers crossed...

Last weekend

Prepped and painted the lower sheet metal black to hide all the imperfections of the stock bumper rubbing as well as rock chips

Prepped and applying two coats of Monstaliner (man, those fumes are strong!)

Removed the paper and tape for clean lines

Finished product out in the sun

Installed a Slee Short Bus bumper

Also installed 1-1/2: spacers all the way around.

Still have a pile of goodies to install on the interior, first, need to go get a new battery so I can work from there back.
