Do you notice any issues? Because the price difference between the Cx racing kit and the cruiser& company kit is huge yes they could have better parts but your only running low boost and it’s still cheaper even if you upgraded to a better turbo So the only real difference is the internal wastgate

We haven't been out on the trails here for 6 or 7 months. Lots of fires in the area northeast of Phoenix, followed by area closures mandated by the USFS. Up until June, ~27,000 acres were consumed by fires caused by human activity. And then came the summer thunderstorms... This Sunday we checked out one of our favorite trails, mostly unmaintained Forest Service roads with a few interesting ups and downs. Getting there, we came by a burn scar where the fire turned a slope of stout saguaro cacti into mostly brown things... further in, the really neat parts of the trail were spared:

One of our favorite places to stop and let the soul 'dangle' for a bit. Can you spot the freeway (Hwy 87)? That's the 4 Peaks Mountains on the horizon, and Sugarloaf mountain center right.

Just myself in the '93 80, and Claudia in the '97 LX450. Standard equipment - 315 M/Ts, ~2" lift, lockers, Slee bumper w/ winch, lower t-case gears.

Things are not always as straight as they seem...

Last one, nearly back out to blacktop. This trail has been part of the Adams fire, the Palo Verde trees on the left are pretty much done. Cause for the fire: human activity...

So many of you other members are doing really cool stuff with your trucks. I only put a new battery in mine. I feel guilty about how much mine has been sitting this summer while I’ve been dealing with injury and recovery from surgery. I’m well on the mend and I have plans for some fun adventures this fall and winter.

@Delta VS has the plug for the floor board after removing the rear heater. Same design but in better hands.

I just replaced my secondary battery, went from an Optima 34DM to an Interstate 34M-AGM.

While swapping out the battery I was going to run the power/ground leads for the winch back over to the starting battery but my ground is too short. I will have to get a longer negative lead from work to fix that situation. As far as the negative is only grounding it out to the battery the way to go or can I ground it off to a place on the body like the factory ground location for the battery, recommendations?

Also, what about installing this Blue Sea switch? Has anyone installed one, and if so how did you mount it? This particular one has three options surface, front panel or rear panel mounted.

Next weekend I’ll be in the Mojave.
This rig will NEVER fill diesel in CA.

I regret not keeping the one I had. The one thing I didn't like about it was how it hung below the frame rail.

Tomorrow I go mud bogging as we have had lots of slow steady rain and I have miles of dirt roads to travel on to get home!

That's what happens if the PO used the wrong coolant before parking the truck for 5 years.

So new waterpump, thermostat, radiator etc. I really hope the heater core survived.

Generally, the winch negative goes straight to the battery because otherwise you are relying on the factory battery - to chassis lead, which in almost ALL cases, will be much too small for the winch current.
