Are you boosting it once it's rebuilt? I'm just curious why you went with the ARPs.

Your helper looks handy. Mine are all in their 20s now, except my youngest girl (17), and they roll their eyes when I need cruiser help.
I use ARP studs on all my rebuilds and customer rebuilds. They are cheeper than OEM and if anybody wants to boost in the future they have that reassurance. The OEM studs can handle mild boost also no problem.

That's the second exploded Duratrac I've seen on Mud today. I can't believe people still buy those
Maybe it has to do with operator error?

Always the bow, never the Indian.

Not quite the weekend project, but I just got my @Delta VS 3L arms installed. I am very fortunate to live near @2KCruiser as he really came through for me!! Everyone knows these guys do great work! I had previously used some caster correction plates that required some notching of the mounts. John waved his magic welder wand 🪄 and made the notches disappear!! POOF!

Had the alignment today to check the caster spec, and I am at a perfect +3.0 with a J Spring Lift!!

Just curious why you got rid of the plates for the arms?

Some camping with a friend

It’s because they last so long and wear so well people run them to 50-70k lol

Then go wheeling on them

All the cool kids have them and they're OLAF!🤣🤣 But for a more practical reason I wanted the extended arms and plates had my caster below spec after I upgraded to BP51s and the Js.

I got 95K out of my last set.

I'm at 36K on my second set and they have hardly worn.

You make a good point.

Got new shoes for the ‘97 after blowing one of the GY Duratracs on the highway. They had over 50K on them so it was time. Went with Yokohama Geolandar MT’s in 315’s. Very quiet and smooth riding compared to the old GY’s. View attachment 3438184View attachment 3438185View attachment 3438186View attachment 3438187
Did some suppressed shooting with my Henry Model X 357/38 and Chiappa Little Badger TDX 22.

Those might be my next tire

Chasing the P401 code I dove into pulling the manifold/throttle body and cleaning them, swapping the VSV all vacuum lines and while there the fuel filter. There are two vacuum ports on the manifold I can’t find in the FSM does anyone have any idea where these go? In these pics per the FSM I have these connected wrong. FSM states the VSV goes to the EGR valve. I corrected this and still the truck turns over but won’t start.
