The Anti-Tech
Yup.There are tricks to getting these rigs to perform better on hills and mountains. They run very well at high RPMs and can do so for extended lengths of time. I put the power button on and then downshift until the RPMs are very high. I keep the tach out of the red but will climb an entire mountain in second gear if I have to. Try it. It isn't going to make your rig perform like a rig with a modern V8 engine but it is acceptable. By the way, I was laughing my ass off at your comments about getting passed by a semi. Been there and done that many times. You will get used to getting passed when driving an 80 series. They aren't that nimble at high speed so slower is probably better!![]()
