Yours look nicer than mine. I shouldn't even admit I picked wild flowers on the internet, I am just asking for someone to tell me how bad for the environment it is, lol even on a forum for off-road gas guzzling suv's.

I wasn't going to care, but then I realized you were doubling down on the earth-hate by DRIVING your gas guzzler to pick wild flowers. Now I think you are utterly irredeemable.

One dump run turned into two. Found an opportunity to teach my boys to take care of other people's mess.

We came across this trash, on the way to the transfer station. View attachment 1975300

Dropped our trash, and went back to clean it up. No charge even. 😎

I heard there was a 'yard sale', and the leftovers were just, left.
I showed my oldest daughter (6) this thread of yours and she smiled because you cleaned it up. She was so proud, even though we don't know you. Thank you, we don't get nearly as much as you did on this one haul but we pick up trash every time we wheel.

Chemistry question:

Battery #1 has the usual bluish copper oxide type flash/crystals on the + terminal. Battery #2 has similar salts/ crystals but they’re orange.

#1 has the OEM metal hold down bracket.

#2 has a home made aluminum bracket.

Both must have some surface bleed across the battery due to salts and such from normal driving.

Why is one blue and why is one orange?

what are the equations?

Every bit helps. Keep up the good work! 👌

We had a bad one last year. One of my favorite camping spots. We hauled out so much trash.
😡

That salt is orange then?

My guess is the color difference is due to one battery being closer to the overflow tank/coolant steam. Chemically I can't explain

Did a full coolant flush only to discover that I have a blown head gasket. Fun Sunday.
I am sorry for your loss

My head gasket went at about 220K. Replaced it along with a few other things like the wiring harness and I am now at 280K, still going strong. These cruisers were built to last.

Pretty productive weekend for my cruiser. I’m moving to Kansas City for the summer here in just under two weeks and I’m addressing some issues/things that have bugged me on the cruiser.

First off, I found that the air hose near the bottom of my air bag had been linked slightly and started leaking. Fixed that. Then moved onto redoing my Harrop locker wiring plug. The prongs have pulled out twice now, but I’m sure it’s good now.

I recently won a set of Blackhawk HD lower control arms and adjustable upper control arms. Thanks again to Kevin at EHO for putting on that giveaway. I’ve wanted to build a set of adjustables for quite awhile but haven’t had the time and having some stronger lower arms is nice piece of mind after slamming my stock ones into some ledges out in Moab. I’ve had a vibration that occurs at a higher frequency and definitely feels driveline related. It was still present after new tires and removing the front driveshaft. I’ve got the pinion angle adjusted and will be testing it out tomorrow. Fingers crossed the cruiser will be smooth as glass again.

I also finally swapped out the prehistoric double row light bar I’ve had on my roof rack for the past 5 years. I’ve been wanting a brighter, more spot patterned, and stealthy single row bar for quite some time. I stumbled across a couple companies in the US selling this style of bar for nearly $300. A quick search on Aliexpress, and I had one shipped to my house from China in 4 days for $114. I resealed the edges with silicon as it was lacking a little bit in places, and I did this with my previous bar and haven’t had a single issue with it so I figured why not.

Absolutely blows the performance of the old one away, and with how I have it mounted, I can easily aim this bar on the fly.

Now I’m just itching to build a new front bumper, swap back to a “Toyota” grille, patch the clear valence lights, and swap out the Lightforces for some Baja Designs, but that’s just me dreaming at this point.
