I always make it a point to leave town and go camping for the Ironman race weekend. On the way to one of my favorite adventure areas I noticed the spillway at the reservoir was flowing over so I took a secret Jeep trail to the spillway to check it out. There was probably 60 other people there that all had to walk .5 a mile to the spillway. The cruiser drove me right to it lol. Then the access road I usually take has a bridge over the Little Creek that feeds the reservoir, but we have had so much precipitation this season the Little Creek was a river and the bridge was no more.

I have always wanted to move to New Zealand, seeing these beautiful pics makes me want to move there even more.

Leonard it’s pretty special here downunder. We are very lucky. The South Island especially. I want to build another truck, something not so straight and with bar work. Then we can really get some places!

Keeping busy while everyone else is in cruise Moab (my time is coming). Qpm with some lifepo4 power.

how do you like the dometic slide? i just ordered one and am planning on something similar.
ITS HEAVY but if your building a simialr set up you can scavenge parts off slide and lighten it up a tad. I just went wth etire slide made my own slides past 2 yrs so I spulrged a bit.

Took just over 5 weeks to get the engine torn down, head machined and new gasket and everything put back together. Did a bunch of other things while in there - new steering pump, cleaned the oil cooler, rear heater bypass, blue fan clutch. Hoping I can now be wrapped up with the baseline maint on this rig and it should be stout for years to come.

Before: HG let go at #1 cylinder

After: Finally back up and running

Will need another day to get the hood back on and swap on the spacers and 37s. Rain all day today and once the tires are on it won't fit in the garage unless I air down to 5-6lbs and add weight to the rear.

Got the smog testing thingie out of the way for another two years...

:meh:

Replaced LR caliper, new rear rotors (Toyota), new rear brake pads (Powerstop), rotated tires, greased driveshafts, fixed the rear O2 sensor since the nuts rusted and fell off and blew the sensor out the hole. New gasket, cleaned up the threads with a die, and new nuts with copper anti seize.

Cool, where did she spot us? I can’t speak highly enough of the tyres. They are only 33’s but I only have the 1HD-FT on 10lbs boost because I haven’t intercooled it yet. Towing the retro caravan I push to my limit of EGT reasonably quickly so the 33’s are the biggest I like to run for towing. I find with the 2” lift (only) that they fit perfect under the guards perfect on the std offset rims. I will have them in the dunes tomorrow’s for a small trip so I’ll see what they’re like on really low pressure. The std 8” rims are good to hold onto the ba I also grit blasted them and then anodised so they have a rough surface at the lip to hold on tight. Seems to work well. Wikid tyres!!!

How Noisy do you find the yokos on the road? Consideing a set for my 80 as they're often on special at Hyper Tyres and the noise from the Maxxis Bighorns on it at the moment is driving me nuts

Took the kids camping/exploring Around NC. Stopped by an old race track. Some of you may of heard of it.

@NC LX Wilkesboro is my hometown. I used to work at that track selling concessions to make money for HS / college. It was a real shame when it was shut down to move the date to a larger track - the soul of NASCAR was certainly rooted in the short tracks and Wilkesboro in particular. Hope you and family had a great time!

Finally said F it and she’s alive lithium red arc rear mounted in my rear drawers I built and the Victron even works lol and @cruiserdan advice on upgrading fire suppression rand in my ear the entire time. But it’s done.
