Been working most of the week trying to chase down a CEL which I could never kill. I suspected it was due to a vacuum leak. Having already replaced all vacuum hoses on the top side I decided to pull the intake manifold and finish the job.
Since I was deleting the EGR I decided to tidy up the harness and had one of those heart stop moments when I found this...
A lot of heat happened here and since you can't buy a harness for '94 I decided to ring out each wire one by one. Thankfully all was good so I set about rewraping the whole thing.
Got it mostly finished today and she is purring like a kitten with no CEL though I know it is early days.
While I was in there I removed the EGR tube and capped it off with an old key chain I found that fit perfectly ( thanks @NLXTACY ). Also did the @LandCruiserPhil rear heater delete.
Just need to pop the hood back on and get back on the road..

Keeping busy while everyone else is in cruise Moab (my time is coming). Qpm with some lifepo4 power.
Off to the machine shop next week. Quick question, have any of you raised compression during the rebuild. If so, where did you source the Pistons.
Mounted new tires today on new to me raceline beadlocks. Rebuilding knuckles, installing RCV’s and part time hubs tomorrow. Part time and crawler gear coming soon.

yep 1x25 fit - might of been nice to have more coverage..... i'd tried to use an OrangeBoxx "kit" but it wasn't up to the task nor well fabbed IMHO for the $$ ...
I absolutely love it. I live up in Peoria. I’d like to put this set up onto mine. I like the rear stack bumper look, but want to put the spare up and outside. Possibly figure out how to attach the high lift jack tooI had a local mudder weld up my Summit rear tire swing out for stock bumpers.
