more progress on my bumper. And more parts missing from 4x4 labs. Every bumper and every accessory has been missing parts so far. Pretty disappointed with there lack of attention. I would recommend the kit if it was missing so many parts but at this point i can't. I will have to call them again tomorrow.

My bumper was missing a couple parts as well. One phone call and they were shipped to me, no drama.

Why didn't you go through all your parts and make sure nothing else was missing, when you first noticed anything wrong? Before you called them to tell them something wasn't there, I mean.

because I had 4 boxes full of stuff to go through and I was working on one piece at a time. Plus I have never ordered something from anyone that expected me to quality check. But it's coming together slowly. Put the bull bar on today since I'm at a stand still on the accessories.

Is that the one from @LandCruiserPhil ?

Not ours
The cost twice as much and the opening is smaller. One of our customers loads his 29er through the window its not happening with all other we have seen.

to be fair Phil, this one converted to US$ was $345, as I said was made by a guy in Karratha, shipping to USA would be huge even if he hade any left

My 80 turned it's back on me and sulked in the corner of the yard when it saw what rolled up in my driveway.

This rusty mess will certainly be taking some attention away from my 80.... and the garage is definitely getting more crowded!

I think he just made a few to cover the cost of his own ones, I don't know the guy but believe he is a fitter up here in Karratha, advertised on a local Facebook 80 page, prob doesn't need the extra income? as to Aussies buying from USA, some times stuff you have there isn't available here, or even with shipping is cheaper ordered direct from there rather than paying mark up in a local shop

You may be right. Folks on the ground said it was an 80. After pouring thru the photos you may be right :hmm:
Original story was 100 series play by play on IG and boys it was fast and yet they got away unscathed

I know. The kit is quality but it has really delayed my progress. They have been great about shipping out the missing parts but it's still pretty annoying.

Yes it can be and unfortunately is not uncommon. There is a good side as the AZ club CSC received the 1st shipment of labs rear bumper. From that day I have done and helped with 5 or more bumpers and the kit keeps improving making the build easier and easier ending with a great bumper that can take a serious beating and keep looking good!

Knowing first hand what is involved looking at his product even considering the exchange he was doing as a gift.

Looks very nice BTW

Having seen several vehicles burn to the ground including one of my own it happens fast and there not much time to get anything out because once things start exploding Im out of there.

I got my slider frame and mount plates mostly done today. That was a whole lot of drilling and tapping. Still have to grind a few spot that are raise from the iron worker and chamfer for welding prep. They are both 3/8" plate the fished fame plates are 9" oal with the main area 6x6. The mount plates are 6x6. The frame plates are drilled and tapped for 9/16 coarse thread gr8 bolts. Once the remaining prep is done i will tack or clamp the plates to the rails and center punch and drill out the rails then reinstall the plates and tap through them so the bolts will thread into both the plates and frame rail. The 2x6x1/4 plates will be welded to the bottom of the rails then welded to the plates. I have 3x1.5x1/4" box tube that I will miter the angles to attach the sliders themselves. The sliders I have are from my Frontier I had years ago and are 1/4 wall. With the strength of this setup I think it should be good with 2 mounts per side? Thoughts?
