I'm lame and haven't done any real wheeling in a while so I did some urban posing.
Amazing suspension, so you not going to carry on rear anymore? tire jack etc. how will that work?

Also a shot of the new rear bumper I finished building.

I was under the impression said kid still had all of their eyes ears and noses.

Also if you put your text outside of the quoted text it is actually possible for others to figure out what question/comment you have.

He's pulling out LOGS, not winching an 80K LB truck out of a bog!

If you're pulling something with a 12K winch and your cable breaks, you're an idiot for not doing maintenance. You should be dragging your truck across the lot.

If the cable slips off, you don't know what you're doing.

I do agree that you should always have a blanket on the cable. It reduces vibration and the range if it snaps or comes loose.

Your right on there hotrod, but there are a LOT of idiots out there! Plus, I don't give a s*** what someone's pulling, not practicing safe techniques will end up costing someone unfortunately.

How will what work? I haven't carried a spare tire in a while, going without it for now. I usually carry a high-lift inside the truck.

Wow.

This community has changed. I have dudes basically calling me a horrible person endangering my son and none of you were there to know anything about what went on at the moment I took that photo.

Basically it seems as a society we love to criticize without any real understanding of the context and without any real fear of backlash thanks to the animinity of social media....

Ugh. Granted there are acceptable things to post, and unacceptable things to post. And always lessons to be learned or points of view to be considered.

In a nut shell don't post anything today without looking at it seventeen ways from Sunday or make sure the context is perfectly clear to avoid online bashing.

This apples to the rally post also and all the fall out from a guy trying to share his weekend.

Oh and Jose should have chocked his wheels, he could have rolled over his foot getting back into the cab and given all of us loading dock wheelers a bad name! I thought it was bad enough when I used to get kicked out for skating loading docks now I can't even wheel them... Thanks Jose!

Off soap box.

No worries man, lot of people on their high horse around here. I guess they never let their kids sit in their lap and drive either. Far too dangerous. :flipoff2:

Hello guys.

Just as Manny said, Zack and organizers made a really good job explaining what to do and what to avoid. Not only in 1, but in three emails BEFORE the rally the thread lightly topic was putted in the table; And again, in every meting DURING the rally.

I can speak for myself and my friends, who only followed the maps provided for the rally and under any circumstances new trails were open.

EVERYWHERE you go you will get Aholes that want to do what they want, and i can assure the Rally organizers disqualified many that didn't follow the rules.

Instead of bashing groups like Overland Tennessee, Bold Overland, etc. who care of cleaning the spots after off roading, that your same locals bash, focus on the real problems that are making most of the trails get closed. The super local red necks who are only useful to throw cans everywhere, talk sh1t and threaten visitors are a good example of this.

Thank you!!
Unfortunately it is your 80 in one of the videos where a switchback cut was traversed for the event. I think the concern there is that this organized event did so without permission (not the fault of participants following the route). If they had it, and necessary repairs were made afterward, great. Otherwise it is unwelcome damage to an already sensitive area.

Edit for thread relevance. I drove in the mountains. There was a rally going on nearby, but it was a great time.

There's an old saying. "Don't let the bast***s wear you down" There's a some bad apples, but most on here seem to be good folk.

Also: Sometimes people are just having a bad day. I know when I first started on MUD, I had an 'issue' with an old timer here and posted in response when I shouldn't have. The post stands and I apologized when I looked at what I had written.
