Met an old high school friend in Jefferson and Washington National Forest to do some exploring.

I've been working 80+ hrs a week for the past month. Haven't done much of anything with my 80s other than rack up a crap ton of miles on my 93. But today I said "FAWK working!" and my son and I escaped for a while to do some pond fishing. He caught a nice little 5 pounder. I didn't catch sh!t BUT I wasn't working!

Going to dig in to the motor year down for an hour or so. Picking away at it...

Also came home to my new seat covers sitting...waiting for me. They look really nice in the box. I will post pics later. Didn't take any earlier. Thanks @FloridaFJ80

Made further progress. Still wiring relays and got to do some cable management, but getting there slowly

Eureka dunes is awesome! Heading down there in 2 weeks.

Looks like you went on to Dedeckera canyon, how's the road?
It's a walk in the park for landcruisers. Warm Spring is crowded as usual, more so with Sprinter vans these days.

Finally got most of the install done on my Wits End disconnect. I had to do some other work in the area of the battery box to try to make it nice. Bought a new Interstate group 27f Megatron battery, not an easy item to find. Had to redo a bit of my wiring too to try to roll with the work @NLXTACY did. The big new cables were a bastard to get in but I made it. Still have to wire up the underhood lights, the temp guage, and figure out my winch wiring but it is finally getting there. The disconnect is a sweet piece of hardware.

Freaking excellent!!! I'm stealing those pics. :flipoff2:

If you don't mind, can you post up in that disconnect thread with the trials and tribulations you experienced? I want to make sure others are on the same page ;)

Will do. It is just a bit tough fighting those cables but well worth it!

Did knuckle/axle job on driver's side. Installed slee rear bumper. Changed front diff fluid.

Impact gun really paid for itself.

@dogfishlake and @NLXTACY that disconnect looks incredible.

And that engine bay is crazy clean!

Started out by bumping my timing back to where it was before I did the head gasket job... Not the 3degrees it says in the manual - acceleration at the low end feels much better. (I believe it's around 6 degrees now)

Also finally got the antenna extension connected - so my radio works again!

Today drove an hour away with my little trailer to pick up two free couches - new condition! Arrived to find my trailer tire going completely flat. Grabbed my compressor and aired up which of course killed my battery. Gonna be one of those days.

Got the wheel off The trailer and got to the shop, had a tube put in since I hardly ever use this trailer and it was $13 for a tube or $90 for a wheel assembly.

Lost heat on the way home. Temps ran fine - just no heat. Got home and popped the hood (after unloading the two couches) and re-connected the control cable. Love easy fixes...

After hours of assembly, disassembly, assembly, disassembly, assembly, disassembly... I'm satisfied with my gear setup. I read page after page of install notes and looked at more marking paint indicators than I would like to recall. They're re-installed in the truck, everything is buttoned up back together, and the drive to work this morning resulted in NO GEAR NOISE! 3 days start to finish.

Went to the local Interstate dealer and bought that same battery a few months back. 6 year warranty! Great peace of mind after spending 2x the amount on a small Diehard 24f AGM that lasted me 9 months.
