Mudder came over today because he was having a "wheel issue". After a little bit of cruiser chat I lifted his right front tire and gave it a wiggle. Plenty of movement. Way more than I would except. Checked bearing preload and it was pointless because not only was the outer nut just freely spinning, so was the inner nut. The locking tab ring had broken tabs and the others were barely in use. Quick snug up and test and it was good to go. Checked the other side, not quite as bad except a lug nut was loose. The hub flange nuts were obviously over tighteneded. The outer hub but was loose but at least the inner was better on this side. Quick adjustment and got everything back together in no time at all. Remedied the steering issue that he didn't realize was a steering issue until the wheel bearings had proper pre-load.
