@Mighty690 do you know the spring rates for the icon coils ?
I don't know them off hand, sorry, but they are here on Mud somewhere I think. Definitely progressive (Icon says "dual rate"); with those nice shocks it feels so much better unloaded than my other '93 with the OME "stock height."

Driving her home from VA back to AZ this weekend after a 6 month vacation for an LS3 swap. I must say I do like the extra ponies on tap. Enjoyed Smoke BBQ in Newport News on the way out. Already met another forum member (sgpipes) on the way home. Great guy and enjoyed the time.

Mudder came over today because he was having a "wheel issue". After a little bit of cruiser chat I lifted his right front tire and gave it a wiggle. Plenty of movement. Way more than I would except. Checked bearing preload and it was pointless because not only was the outer nut just freely spinning, so was the inner nut. The locking tab ring had broken tabs and the others were barely in use. Quick snug up and test and it was good to go. Checked the other side, not quite as bad except a lug nut was loose. The hub flange nuts were obviously over tighteneded. The outer hub but was loose but at least the inner was better on this side. Quick adjustment and got everything back together in no time at all. Remedied the steering issue that he didn't realize was a steering issue until the wheel bearings had proper pre-load.

This sounds like what I need to do. I got a little shimmy in the steering wheel. I need to do a front knuckle job but it's cold out. Next weekend looks warmer so I think I may tear in to it then. But I'm going to jack it up and check tomorrow.

Are the TG locking nuts worth it?

Hard to say because morally I don't want to touch anything from them. But I do see those solving a very really issue.

It's a crazy clean install.

Seriously, it makes me almost rethink doing a swap. I thought my LS swap on my 40 was clean but it looks downright hillbilly compared to @azcrackshot's. It looks factory which is one of the reasons I've hated on LS swaps. They always look like a swap.

Up in the Sierra's after all the rain and snow we had.

Tried to get to my favorite mountain quail hunting spot but rd was closed do to rock/mud slide.....so off on another rd.

I've ordered a set. To me it's cheap insurance vs the problems caused by losing preload

Heard of these guys a lot through some local corvette guys. Looks like they did an awesome job. Tried to send you a PM but your inbox was full.

Friend welded up 4x4 labs rear bumper and I ground down welds and primed TG front tube bumper.........it's coming along

Started making some sliders. I think they're turning out ok, considering my lack of fabricating experience and tools. Amazing what you can do with a portable band saw and a grinder...

Same as @NLXTACY .... one side had inner and outer nuts finger tight and spinning, other side snuggged up tight.......but lacking preload....... but the PO just rebuilt it
