WHAT THE HE77 did I DO!!!

Took off the fender bars and running boards, which translates to about 100 kg less steel on the truck.

Prepping for a long back country road trip in central and southeastern Oregon. PHH replaced along with thermostat, upper and lower radiator hoses, and the heater control valve.

After reading all of the posts on here about the PHH I thought it was going to be a nightmare but it wasn't terrible. Not a breeze, but not that bad. It had a small leak already so I caught it in time.

Transmission fluid change, new radio, and some other small stuff should be done by Sunday.

Transmission fluid change complete. It came out nice and red so I hope all is well in there. New Joying Android radio installed but still need to hook up the GPS antenna and secure the radio better. New Kenwood TM-281A 144 MHz ham radio arrived but still waiting on the mount and cable to hook it up. Went with a Firestik tunable antenna.

Rear storage rack complete.

Ran power to the rear hatch and installed a switch and LED strip. Couldn't get the spst switch to work properly and ended up with a weak light. Not sure if that's being caused by the switch or just a cheap light.

Paused intermittently for a swig of homebrew to keep my sanity.

@FJP971 , my weak LED hatch light was the result of poor grounding.

Man I like the color of you truck and wheels. What is it?
Thanks. It's whatever the standard safari beige is here, but I don't know the color code. Truck was painted that color when I bought it.

Not the weekend, but a pretty unique use of a cruiser I think. Used as a platform to remove a swarm of bees from my property.

Did you vacuum up a swarm of bees?!?
I did not, but a local beekeeper did. He is transplanting them to one of his bee boxes.

Man that is clean.
Is that a stock ground location to the exhaust manifold heat shield? I do not have that.
