My wife and I went to the top of Mt ashland for her 30th birthday and got to watch the first snow of the year role in! It was great!

Did a little painting of my 80. I think it turned out pretty good. And will hold up until spring when I have it painted. Painted from the body line about 2.5" above the moulding down. And the fender flares. Removed the body moulding. I painted the rear bumper and cross member and also removed the god awful chrome trim on the rear bumper. I've wanted to rip that trim off for 23 years!

And pulled out some damage to the DS rear quarter by the tail light and behind the bumper cover. Smacked a tree stump pretty good a few years ago. Got it as smooth as I could get it then bondo'd it. I know bondo is s*** but it was cheap and easy and a temporary fix until spring.

Next weekend I will pull the wheels off and paint the wheel wells when I'm putting in my new OME springs.

Well, 2 weekends ago...a casualty of war.

Stumbled upon this in South Park Canyon in Death Valley. No one around but it did not appear to have been there long. You can't see it from here, but going around the Jeep was treacherous.

Got the head off of my daughters 80. A week later than planned, but moving forward. We'll see if overheating hurt the head when it gets to the machine shop.

@Dragos80 was in here last night fighting the good fight lol. I think the pink TEQ has already been posted, and we are just SOL for thinking we were gonna get more :(

Hey @dogfishlake what is the yellow stuff?
The engine had a complete rebuild by a PO not many miles ago, then sat for a couple years as I'm told. It got painted yellow at the rebuild. Unfortunately it blew a radiator hose on the owner before me and blew the head gasket. I bought it needing the repair. The yellow is going away directly.

I'm trying my best guys.

Back on topic.
I hooked up the front seat heaters, hopefully they work.
Got the third row seats and the underbody support for the spare tire out. I think I got rid of maybe 40-50 lbs. Trying to bump the MPG up another 0.2-0.5.
Applied some leather conditioner all over the seats, center console lid and doors.
The wife helped with step #6.

In case some of you are curious about page 723, read here starting with post #10046.

I was wondering if this forum had a section like that. Many memories from a different forum come to mind. I might have to go check that place out...

Your snow is kind of funny color. And you guys are going to freeze to death dressed like that...
I almost brought one of my snowboards.

Late afternoon on the leeward side.

Took a drive to see how the new castER bushings felt. Still waiting on some new OEM bushings and control arm hardware to cross the ocean, but wanted to feel out the new bushings and new tires (BFG 285s)!
What is your caster measurement after yellow cc bushings installed? (align shop should tell you for cheap)
What system and model did you order to replace the yellow bushings?
I recommend caster check after the new ones go in too.

I had Slee order me all of the hoses that they replace if you have them do their heater lines service (includes PHH) Good Lord it's a lot of hoses. Also picked up their wiring harness for the absolutely horrendous stock head lights.

So... flushed the radiator, block, coolant res., removed the PHH. (waiting on phhkits replacement) Getting all of these hoses replaced is going to take me more than a few sessions.

Old one didn't look to shabby for having 199k on the odometer.
