Saw this roof rack mounting foot design on someones post on the forums, decided to go ahead and make my own. 1 down 7 more to go.

Let's see, oil change, and while oil was out and filter off: new oil pan gasket, new side cover gasket, installed Trollhole distributor. Then set timing, and sent OEM dissy to fj40jim for recurve. Truck is running well for either a drive in the hills or take the canoe to the river, can't decide for tomorrow.

Drove the freeway for the first time in several years and first time with the 5 speed. Drove like a champ. Hit 80 mph on slight decent after going up a significant grade where I maintained 50mph and actually passed some semis.

Drove to get my frankenbumper fitted and fine tuned.

Nothing like needing to use the cruiser to make your a$$ finish a project! hahaha. Finally got the interior back together. Still need to refine a few things and make new rear side panels but it was a lot quieter with the mass loaded vinyl and the new BMW seats were awesome! Driving the cruiser around on the freeway definitely made it clear the steering and suspension need attention bad! hahaha

New tie-rod ends
Knuckle job
New suspension
Paint job

Washed my 60. Been mostly working on the 40, thought I would take a family photo.

I can't tell you how obsessed with I am with your 60's color.. [emoji7]

It is the most common compliment I get. It called Land Rover green and was a factory color on land rovers. I have only seen one other one like it on a 60 and one on an 80. At times I have thought of painting the 40 the same color, but for now I am leaving it. Thanks for the compliments.

The 40 would look great in that color, I want to paint my 60 more of an olive green, but I have used yours as a reference when showing people.. Very clean cruiser, it gives people the right idea!

Today: new carb installed. Look ma! No vacuum hoses! Well, ok, three.

Dropped of five 8x16" black Eagle Alloys at 4wheel parts to slap on some rubber, 285/75R16 BF Goodrich TKO2.

My 12ht swap is almost complete. It's a shame Toyota didn't bring these motors over here to the states...

sheepdawg I was just thinking tonight I'm getting the truck painted next year. do I stick with factory grey blue or go green? now I see your truck today and makes me wonder if it's meant to be. I love your colour (yes I'm Canadian so colour has a u).

Swap was finished it drove great for 2k miles then developed a knock in Saskatchewan canada

what happened? must have been pushing a headwind. we don't have any real hills to stress your rig!! I'm from Saskatchewan! glad to see you made it home. hope we were friendly to you and maybe even a little helpful.

I'm impressed you even spelled Saskatchewan correctly:)
