Prepped and primered the console


Out with the old


New leather skins


Serviceable sewing, definitely not perfect.


Picked up one of these for the lid


Replaced drink holder rubber


All done.

Spent a great weekend in Eastern Sierra Mountains. Did 620 roundtrip miles in my cruiser!
Saw a couple cruiser up in Mammoth and met a guy (john) with a FJ62 in Lone Pine driving up to Canada. Have a Safe trip!
62 ran good but slow on the hills "no surprise there".

Headed out to the lost coast for some camping. 800 miles after having to detour around the fire near Clearlake. First trip out and was a big one, but it did great! Just like above, she was slow on the hills, but I was also pulling a trailer loaded with gear, and wood!

The interior is getting monstaliner sprayed top to bottom. Brown on the floors and tan from the floor up. Then the exterior is getting the factory toyota 474 copper brown metallic in single stage like what they sprayed in the 80's

Another canoe outing. This time made it all the way to the beach along side the Mendenhall glacier, which took an hour into a head wind. Wouldn't have made it without another strong paddler.

It was on the truck when I bought it 13 years ago. Cruiser came up from Beverly Hills to Petersburg, AK as a surprise gift from a dad to his son. Son didn't want it...
