Now I REALLY want to finish painting the wheels I got, those look great!

Hah! Yeah I like the look.. *almost* factoryish for the truck, and I finally washed them from winter cruft accumulation.

Finally got the bloody no-idle problem solved!!

Went to check the o-ring on the FCS, it was loose and the o-ring basically bits. Blew out the bits with the air hose and put in a new FCS complete with new o-ring. Tightened up, did the "green wire mod" and all's copasetic. Idles fine, runs fine and idle vacuum is back up to 14" and steady. Know that I'm at 7000' elevation before your start replying my vacuum is too low.

Replaced a rear axle seal that was leaking, along with new bearings. Did both sides so I won't have to tear back into anytime soon. Gear oil was on everything.

Also replaced all brake shoes, brake hardware and wheel cylinders. Cleaned up the diff cover and used new hardware throughout. I had a nice lesson in brake drums and what happens when pinion gears fall out of the diff carrier.

Good work, but I think it would have been easier to just move the breather instead of make that notch!

Thanks. The knuckles have been turned and I was trying to keep the truss as vertical as possible. I could only get what I was looking for by using tube vs the traditional Toyota truss. After I determined the truss, I saw nowhere to relocate the vent that wouldn't have the same issue. It was fun to build and I like the fact that it's different.

Went to river and got truck dirty, hanging out with friends, drinking, cooking out, and swimmin'. Spent the night, went home Sat morning; when I got there, hot coolant was spewing out of the w-pump weep hole and engine was nearly on hot. Today I pulled pump, and radiator to go to the radiator shop while I'm at it, and spoke with Beno to arrange replacement pump, gasket, hoses etc for tomorrow. Already have a pack of new belts.

Got 2 nasty cuts getting that old pump and radiator out in spite of being careful. Had to bash the old pump off with a rubber mallet because the last "mechanic" used a gallon of tough black rtv instead of a gasket. Sheesh. I'll put her back together this week, and also install the new stainless battery tray and also an upgraded headlight harness/relay box I've not gotten around to installing yet.
