Kicking the weekend off taking the family MotorView drive inn. The Cruiser is the perfect vehicle for the drive inn.

Over the last week I got the 4+ front bumper mounted. (Hint: cut the rivet heads off on the bracket side, drill the rivets with 1/2" bit, punch out with hammer and punch.)
Got the 4+ u-bolt flip kits bolted on. (Hint: when the 650 ftlb impact gun won't turn the nuts, sawzall the u-bolts at the top of the bend sooner rather than later.)
Need to figure out why the horn quit honking and install the MAF headers & exhaust.

Fine then, pics.

To mount the flip kit, you gotta get the truck pretty high. The up-side is you can sit rather than lie on your back to work on it.

U-bolts before. These are the rear.

U-bolts with flip kit. These are the front. Got them done first, took this and ^ that at the same time.

Got the boat out of storage and back home today. Hoping to enjoy Father's Day on the lake tomorrow.

Cut these pesky booger-welded side-steps off

For peace of mind with respect to rust (I live in the Northeast), I removed the fender flares from my 60 that were installed by the previous owner. I like fender flares with the proper tire size, which I don't have.

Unfortunately, to install the door section flares, the PO had holes drilled the rear door face (all other rivets were passed through body panel angles parallel to the wheel wells). So the trade off for not having hidden rust areas propagate, is that now I have hole repair and painting to look forward to.

I also removed the snake blinders (more holes) and did an oil change.

Left side was the worst

Put in a new set of pads on the front. This is one of the old ones, by far the most worn of them all.

Had a great day working of the cruiser. For the first time in months I had four hours to my self to work on the cruiser. Got a lot of little things done here and there to start on my mountain of finsh up work after the V8 conversion. Best of all installed the new struts for the rear hatch. Took ten minutes. Thanks Jason at Cruiser yard !!!!!!!!!!!!

Love the wheels, Matt!

Last weekend I added another one.. a 60 with an OM617. In project form. You'd think I'd learn one day. If anyone needs a 9/10 nice body and frame without a title, let me know. ;)

This weekend,

sorry for the s***ty quality pic!

Wheeled on a coat of light rubbing compound, followed by swirl filler, then a coat of Meguiar's ultimate liquid wax on the '85. Heading to Trout Camp this coming weekend :steer:
