Been a while since I’ve posted the 62, snapped this pic out in the woods last weekend. I’ve done a few small projects lately but the biggest one has been adding a Gamiviti rack from @nakman. Fits the lines of the vehicle perfectly and opens up a lot of different options on the roof. Thanks again Tim!

About to start my winter projects list. New seatbelts installing rear retractable ones from seatbelt planet and the unicorn trim piece to convert. New carpet kit. Going to sound proof it all with Kilmat and second skin. Just received a new OEM dash pad from Toyota to replace my old cracked one (they still have FJ62 dashes in stock).

Getting inventories back up and ready to start taking bumper and slider orders again.

Wiper C-Clips are back in stock as well.

Decided to mix it up and put the laces in, after adding the roof rack I felt like it looked a little too busy with the white letters out. Definitely looks cleaner now in my opinion but think it works either way. Posting close to my other photo so folks making that decision in the future can compare!

Had a little weeping at two of the bolts/gaskets. Changed out all four, “while I was in there.”

Next up… putting in new to me manifold heat shields.

Easy stuff. Tunes. A mighty fine Saturday.

🍻

Rebuilt the starter on the FJ62 today as per the post on the forum. Hardest part was cleaning the casing!

Let us know what you think of the second skin. I finished laying down all the killmat in mine and second skin is next on the list.

Found some armrests that are very similar to the Onestone Armrests, but these only cost 78.00 for both drivers and passenger sides, shipping included. They are listed for 70 series. It did take a little over a month to receive but for that price I took a shot.
They have three strong magnets and under the armrest is a metal bracket that slips between chrome and window felt. I shut the doors hard several times and didn’t budge. I didn’t have to do any modification for them to fit. Will put link after pictures for anyone who wants to possibly save a few bucks.

Let's us know how you like driving with them. Do they crowd the air vents, window crank or door handle? They look like they might fit the rear windows too.
I might have to learn to drink left-handed.

They don’t block or crowd anything, when I drive I tend to always put my left elbow up by the window and inevitable it starts to get uncomfortable on longer drives this should help with that. Will check to see if they fit rear windows, would be good for the kids drinks when back there.

Pulled the RhinoRide60 and the other kids out of the shop to prep it for it's winter nap.

Installed a set of Baja Designs wide/cornering lights in the vacant turn signal holes in the ARB. I wanted to mount them inset into the bumper to give some protection. Test fit showed that the light housing is just a little large to fit into the hole. I could enlarge the hole but did not want to go that route so I installed from the inside. The hole has a small in-turned lip and I set the light housing flush with that. I had to remove a portion of one of the tabs to set the light against one side of the hole.
