Fitted the usb module to the aux battery, party LED time at camp sites!
Fixed back lights (again) 3rd time is the charm i hope.
Fitted the water temp cables and discovered i tore the cables from the device (really poor quality)
Finnaly changed console to normal colors blue is just too much.

Couple weekends ago, changed everything on rear axle, from bearings to brake line clips - even the diff breather and cover studs. Fun project.
That looks nice, how long did it take you to do that and what is that control pad on the lower left?
The control pad on lower left is the display for the IBS dual battery system. The wrap its self is pretty easy once you get into a grove, probably all in 1 and 1/2 hours. That’s with a lot of back tracking in the beginning to keep it uniform. Took just under a 100ft of 550 cord.
This is the video I watch, I just moved the knots to the inside of the wheel.
Got my replacement radiator in because my first aluminum radiator corroded from the inside out from .2-.3 volts running through the coolant from a bad ground. Idk why the internet says .3 volts and less is ok, it totally destroyed mine.
Unfortunately the replacement had the steam port and my fan shroud bolt hole flip flopped. Also, the mounting holes weren’t spaced correctly on the two main flat mounts, and the rubber grommet holes were too big to have the rubber grommets do anything.
Had to ovalize the main mounts with a carbide bit to take up the 2 cm that the holes were off and use a series of washers for the grommets to work and not just smoosh through the holes when I tightened the bolts. For the incorrect positions of the threaded hole and steam port I had to cut off the tab from my shroud and make and weld a new one.
Old vs new. Top right you can see the differences in placement.
I don’t think the nipple goes there
Thankfully had some scrap aluminum sitting around from a picture frame stand or something
Looking glass half full, this is my first time setting my machine to AC in like over 9 months. Literally zero seat time or practice. The upper weld was the first one and I realized I didn’t clean the metal very well. I Kinda got it back sort of. It’s true though, you really do lose it if you don’t use it with welding :/ doing some practice beads first would have been a good idea
Not my best work but seeing how I was working bummed out about having to cut on a $859 replacement radiator and just trying get back on the road, it’s better than nothing. This is installed in the truck.
Grand total time to install 4 bolts? 3 hours.

I did have to put a 1 inch wheel space up front due to the control arm scrubbing rim at full lock to the left. But the spacer works perfectly.
haha yeah the first bead wasnt wiped with acetone either so theres some black junk in it too, thankfully its just a bracket and nothing too important
I found out yesterday my old iPod that I had connected to my stereo has been interfering with the PCM. Which is why they weren't able to connect to it at the smog shop and why I couldn't connect via HP Tuners either. I didnt believe it till I saw it but its a widely documented problem I guess. Disappointing considering my whole music library is on that thing.
Wire brush goes a long ways.

Clutch master and slave replaced
New OEM body mounts on the front corners
New radiator installed
The clutch master & slave should have been easy, but the flare nut at the end of the hard line was over tightened to the drop down hose, and it trashed the internal threads of the hose coming out. @RDub suggested I make a thread chaser out of an old brake line I had around, so I did. That’s a good one for the trick bag. Worked like a charm and made the project a success.
The front corner body mounts on my truck are much worse than the rest - chunks of rubber were falling out. Replaced with OEM. I wanted rubber rather than poly to maybe have a softer ride and less rattles, even if they won’t last as long.
Original radiator put in 42 years of work and was leaking badly so I picked up a gently used CSF from @Rockymtnreaper with the intention of getting by until I get the original repaired. Got it in, forgot to move the fan shroud out of the way and it was pinched between the diagonal frame gusset and the lower rad tube inlet. Had to take it all apart and readjust. At this point I’ve been going all day, it’s 11PM, so I fill the thing up and start driving home. About 1.5 miles down the road my temps are creeping up fast. Takes me 1/4 mile to pull over and shut it down, and at that point my temp sensor in the upper rad hose is showing 240*F and the coolant is boiling. Oops - I forgot that when I filled it when the thermostat was as closed, so I was only partially filling the system. Waited for temps to come down to about 170, cracked the cap, and filled it. It took in another 1.25g and was cool all the way home - arrived at 12:45AM this morning.
Questions: how much damage could I have done with the short overheat condition? Also, these radiator brackets shown below are directional, but I forgot which way they were when I took it apart. Anybody know how they go? The difference is that it can move the whole radiator about 1cm closer or further from the front sheet metal.
