I like it, alot! In fact I think it would go perfect with my new BMW gray leather sport seats, but I looked on their site and couldn't find anything with gray perforated leather. The only gray I found was suede.
Yeah, unfortunately the only Grey wheels they have is that suede one, and I think youre supposed to use gloves when driving with suede steering wheels. The Grip Royal guys are awesome. Theyre local to me and are really good guys. The only Grey leather wheel like this i could find was from a company called Volante. I have never heard of them before but they have a solid leather grey steering wheel in a similar design.

But yours is a Grip Royal in gray right? So how did you get that? I looked on the Volante site and they didn't have gray either.
I've looked into this as well. Not many wheels with the right spoke window for the gauges in 15". That looks better than I expected. The levers are still at the right depth? That looks great. I have never loved the stock 60 wheel. I'm always bumping the horn buttons. I love it!
Nice, I need to do this eventually. Is that red knob a dual battery switch?, what is the bank of relays to the right of the overflow bottle?

The black actually looks pretty good in there imo. Id like to get some more black in there. Thinking about painting the plastic area around my gauge cluster black instead of the weird grey color it is not.

They have a polished, brushed, and black center spoke option and down lower a non slotted spoke on there too. Theyre a little cheaper than the GR wheels but ive never heard of them before
I like to run my wheel as low as it will go on the column adjuster and with the giant 60 wheel it was into my legs. If you pull on the top of the 60 wheel it will flex over an inch too haha. Also, I never have to worry about hitting the horns while turning again!!
My wiper/cruise lever is damn near perfect, but its from a first gen 4runner. The turn signal lever is spaced just a hair back, id say like a half inch or so. I plan on taking it off and bending the lever metal itself and bringing it closer to the wheel, or swapping it out with the lever arm from a firstgen 4runner.
With the NRG short hub adapter, if you mount the wheel directly to the hub adapter, the nut on the steering shaft will contact the horn button so you have to use a half inch NRG spacer to give you the spacing for your horn button. When the wheel is mounted directly to the adapter with no spacer the fj60 stalks are damn near perfect fit. Even with the spacer 1/2 inch added my fingers still hit them fine.
I will say the smaller diameter wheel brings your hands more in line with the stalks for the better. With the 60 wheel you almost have to reach in some to hit the stalks but with the smaller 350mm diameter wheel the stalks come out slightly past the wheel and its much better for the hands to catch the stalks if that makes any sense. Heres a little bit better of view from the front

The red knob is a shutoff switch for my winch, and that's where I pulled power from for the add on fuse box.
The relays are part of the Wayne Tangen headlight harness I built, there's a link in the faqs Headlight harness diagram
That harness and upgraded headlights made a huge difference.

Gotcha…like the switch. Familiar with the light wiring, I have one of Wayne’s originals from back in the day, yours is organized differently. Nice set up.
Experienced firsthand why people don’t like these LED headlights from City Racer in the snow. Sleet covered them almost immediately and I had to rely on these old school fog lights to see. Didn’t make driving in the snow any less fun though!
Noticed that the paint on the leading edge of the B pillar has been rubbed off by the door's weatherstripping, so checked my door hinges. Hinges are little worn and loose but to be expected after 36 years and 450k miles.

No but the hinges are apparently still available. For example this is the part number for the upper left 6872014020

Got carried away swapping out City Racer LED headlights for Koito H4 glass lamps after I saw @wngrog install a set on ol' blue. Great kit. Like jewelry. Powder coated the headlight buckets, replaced hardware, springs, scews, plastic grommets, then added Hella 85/100 bulbs. High beam indicator works, too, ( @Gretsch ) but I think I replaced that with an LED bulb a while ago. Output of the CR LEDs were great, but the Koitos are better suited to an ol' Japan-built truck.
