@1811Retired You are in my neck of the woods, where you at now? I love Sheeps Bridge, hopefully not too crowded with Phoenicians? If you are into some more difficult wheeling there is another trail in the same area that gets you down to water, but it's a rocker panel crusher if you aren't careful.

Clark
Hey Clark I’m in Cave Creek for the next few months…I’d like to try getting there from the Horseshoe side but the water is pretty high.

Phoenicians are the worst! :)
Terrible I tell ya!

We did it a few years ago this time of year and it was pretty hairy! Pre-snorkel install (used it to strong arm the wife into the snorkel actually, even though I run snorkels primarily for dust), crossing the Verde had water 2”up the windshield with decent current. Yes, I walked it all the way across and back first. That said, we crossed a narrow ford below Horseshoe damn, I’m told there is a much broader crossing above the lake that more intelligenter folk use lol. Those roads are class A awful when wet though, slick as snot! You soak in the hot spring at Sheeps?

Yeah we soaked in it…really enjoyable day. The weather was perfect…ice in places along the way in. The rains and most likely snow up that way kept the dust down, and the last 10 miles are a slow-go.

Great views and the hot spring made it well worth the effort tho!!

@1811Retired Awesome, I haven’t been in two or three years, but have greatly enjoyed that area and it’s beauty. If you come up Prescott way sometime I’d be happy to grab a coffee/beer/whiskey/what ever.

That would be great, I’ve yet to see Prescott…I’ll be in touch! PM me and I’ll give you my #.

Replaced the glove box insert.

And, as is always the case, I found something else that was broken. This time it was the outer plastic case of the latch.

Found another one and put it on as well.

I got my new Tough Dog 2” springs installed. And rides like a dream and looks perfect.
The best complement I’ve gotten so far, has been from my wife, “it looks just like Alex’s”. (Easy there Alex (@aer0397), don’t get too excited, she’s talking about the land cruiser)
In the measurements she’s got 300~350# of sand and OEM Springs loaded in the rear after the lift.

Installed a remote fuse box. I had 5 circuits run directly to the battery and one into the fuse box for lighting, subwoofer, ham radio, CB, and my headlight harness. Those are all in the new fuse box now and everything is tidied up. That pile is mostly wire and crap I removed from the engine bay and under the dash.
