Finally got the cruiser crap console installed. Been staring at it sitting on the bench for several months. Sure wish this was still being manufactured. It’s really nice.

Mounted an ARB on the front of the Goat, now I am in the fits of deciding what to do with my winches...

I have been running an old Warn 8274, but when we/friends vehicles are fully loaded on a trip I have found the 8k rating to be a bit lacking. Got a Warn Zeon 10s for a price I couldn't refuse and am thinking that is a more appropriate winch for our weight, but doesn't look as good...oh the decisions!

Not worth having a good looking winch that doesn't get the job done. Use the 10k on the Cruiser and put the 8274 on something smaller like a 40 series, or maybe bolt it on a car trailer.

This is the direction I seem to be headed. Took me a hot minute to figure out how to move the winch controller on this Zeon, as is it won't fit the bumper but ordered replacement cables from BatteryCablesUSA that will allow me to move the controller to the mount on the ARB, allowing it to fit perfectly. Also think I figured out how to go about rigging a harness for a set of Livid aux lights I acquired from a friend (without their harness). Gonna be one bomb proof, good looking, functional setup when I get done, assuming everything arriving in the mail is what I think it will be...

An option is to rebuild the 8274 with a stronger motor. Warn 8274 9.5 XP Motor upgrade - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/warn-8274-9-5-xp-motor-upgrade.1108372/

Rebuilt this 1980s 8274 with the upgraded motor plus an Albright contator. Photo is before the contactor addition was wrapped up.

Installed new tires today… and problem truck was having with pulling fixed itself

Speaking of new tires, BFG offered to give me a 50% refund on the new tires…. Old tires a little over 6 years but had around 6k miles & 2 blowouts (starting on post 13470). At first they responded that it was ozone (weather) cracks but after sending them pictures of old tires with no cracks they responded saying that on occasion they offer “goodwill” to their customers, they had me take truck to an authorized dealer who would inspect and call BFG with their observation. Took it to Discount Tires…

I don't mean to rag on a brand but it seems all I hear now is stories of BFG's falling apart.

I have been buying BFG AT & MT since the mid 90’s for all of my trucks, never even had a flat before. This is the first time I’ve had any issues.
