CPS - that’s right, I need to start asking them for gas money at the station!
I have a 100 lbs German Shepard who vehemently disagrees with anyone approaching the vehicle and they STILL come forth... 🙄

Matt, did Mr. T make any OEM rocker panel flame throwers?

heck

FJ60 / 62 NLA / Disc. Parts Update and @dannyvp 's Switch Panel too

lots of unicorns too .............

What if you get just the lock barrel reproduced and we can make a working lock with the existing parts from the “broken” lock?

Funny we’re talking about teq keys today... I was clearing out my storage unit yesterday and I found this in my old desk. I forgot I had it... I don’t think it’s ever been used.

i have 2 solid leads in south east asia im following up on

crappy side of the coin ?

Replaced the front seats this weekend.
Front seats from a 2005 pt cruiser. I had read up on threads for this mod. Clearly I don't follow instructions very well because it did not work for me the way the threads said. Ultimately I just made a simple redneck bracket and attached the toyo runners. Comfort is improved.

Also finished putting in sound deadener. I used the Amazon basics brand - the blue stuff in the pics above. One box was not really enough so buy 2 if you go that route.

I put a new ham radio antenna on moonshine this weekend. Should be harder to rip off in this spot.

Looks great! Do they sit higher than stock?

That was one of the beefs with this mod if you read the threads on it.
The way I ended up doing it though was to basically disassemble the seat so much that when I added the 1/4" steel "bracket" the added height was negligible.
I feel like I am sitting a bit higher but I attribute that to having foam cushioning that isn't almost as old as me.

If height is what you desire, the molded foam from Cruiser Corps seems like a 4" lift. I don't need my sun visor near as often. Hood doesn't seem near as long now either.

Continued to diagnose a slow acceleration/loss of power issue with my '86 FJ60 with a 3FE. It's looking more and more like a fuel quality/delivery problem. I decided to burn some of the fuel in the tank (may drain it tomorrow) by taking a long, scenic loop south of town.
I decided to burn even more fuel before draining the tank, so my wife and I took it back into the mountains for a hike on Sunday afternoon. Our destination has an appropriate nickname - Obsidian Ridge. For perspective, a pistol instructor told me a few years ago that I have "big, meaty hands".

Please put the White Rim Trail in the Canyonlands on your bucket list...

I just came back from a week trip offroading between Moab and Yellowstone.

Decided to wing it and try and get a campground + permit for the white rim trail and I lucked out. Man how amazing that area is...

I did parts of Kokopelli and some other trails higher up in the mountains above Moab for some cooler nights.

From there I drove north and did miles and miles of trails a little east of Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons..

Incredible solo adventure...

On my way back driving towards the town of West Yellowstone I had this awesome 55 behind me! what are the odds.

What's the story on your front hitch mount? I like it

Thanks, it's nice to have @bentonrover
I have a winch attached to a steel plate with a 2inch receiver tube, so I can use it on the front as well as the back of the car.
I used to farm grapes when I lived in California, and it came in handy, with hooking up little trailers etc. as well

By any chance remember the brand or model number? Definitely something for my needs

This makes so much sense! You can store it when not needed and winch out from the way you came.

My question about it is do you have weatherproof electrical quick connects under both the front and rear? Or just long leads with alligator clips on the battery terminals?

Exactly yeah @MoaByte
And It's also a good point to use your tractor jack/high lift on.

I use around 0 gauge wire in combo with huge Anderson plugs, hardwired to the front and back, pretty quick switch. @cheeese

It's not very sophisticated...But it has held up for many years now.

@bentonrover My winch is an old Warn... and if you Amazon search for Winch Cradle, or Winch Plate, you'll see there are many solutions to easily make this work.
Mine is just a steel plate with holes and a 2 inch tube that any fool with a stick welder can make.

My fusible link finally fell apart this past weekend, two of the wires were hanging by strands and causing all kinds of starting and running issues. I read a bunch of threads here and reached out to a few members and of course @ToyotaMatt was the first to respond on a Sunday morning. By Tuesday afternoon I had all of the pieces needed to rebuild it myself as well as a new OEM positive battery clamp. @ToyotaMatt packaged it up and labeled everything, I even have a few extra parts if I ever need to make repairs. Thanks again Matt!
If your plastic connectors are still ok you can easily rebuild your FJ62 fusible link. I would have just bought a new one and rebuilt the old one to keep as a backup if they were still available. Before and after pics below.

What starting issues were you having? Cuz I have intermittent starting issues.. And my links don't look great.
