My 1.5 year old Mishimoto radiator is leaking, so I made a warranty claim. Obviously I’m not super happy with it leaking in a short amount of time, it has approx 4000mi on it. I will, however, say the claims process was super easy, they were very quick to respond to the inquiry, and have another on the way.

Is it properly grounded? Running coolant through aluminum and cast iron creates an electolysis condition and plates the iron with aluminum from the radiator causing pin hole leaks. A simple copper wire jammed in the core and grounded to the frame is all it takes. They also have sacrificial radiator caps that are grounded and designed to take the damage over time. However, I thought the moshimoto units came with a proper grounding kit... I would wager that a grounding issue caused your abrupt failure.1.5 yrs is about how long it takes for problems to arise from what I’ve seen around the forum here.
Some paracord and a hook in the ceiling gets the hood up and the support rod out of your way without the hassle of removing the entire hood then trying to re-align it when you put it back on.
A 4’ LED shop light and 2 magnetic hooks from Home Depot lights up your engine bay like the sun.

Good idea! Those are great lights, I have four similar hanging in my garage and will be adding at least two more. They throw a really clean useful light.
The lamps can be tethered together in a string, and individual lamps in the string can be turned off/on without affecting the others.
Had a little time and put on some new lift gate supports, taillight lenses, pedal pads, and side mirrors. Also realized today I've had the headlight switch turned to the marker light position for probably about a month, DOH!
Put on about 500 miles last week for work.. my work car turbo went out, then my truck over heated (water pump), so I brought good ol’ max out for duty and albeit thirsty, he’s been super reliable..
I had intended to fit my nice, new, genuine speedo cable, but after waiting for an hour on the side of the highway for a tow truck due to a blown clutch slave cylinder, I lost interest... (I found a new one (and clutch fluid) at a parts store close-by, but couldn’t get hold of anyone to pick it up for me)...
It took longer to get the 60 off the tow truck than it did to replace the part...
when you don’t have a truck because you spent all you money on 60’s and this is the only rig not under the knife
230 miles to the city and back, got a couple good looks and the boys at NFM wanted to know if I wanted to put it inside the rig or not, told them to impress me I’ll be back in an hour... they tried I watched

Ha!!
I did briefly consider trying, but I managed to roll to a safe place (2 daughters with me), and the car has a brand new H55f, so I didn’t want to unnecessarily damage it!!
Rebuilt my rear diff, which was a PITA since it was my first ever diff job, but worked out well in the end. Will be posting a thread about my experiences, findings and tips for anyone else who does theirs for the first time. Also had the cover powder coated and used some nice shiny new hardware when I reinstalled it.

Thanks for the reminder of the very first day I bought my FJ 10 years ago. Picked it up in Houston at 6:00AM, drove to Dallas to buy beds and somehow made it to New Mexico the next day. Still have those beds and that truck!
